Honeymoon Point Cabin & Cottage

Located on 100 feet of sandy beach on 985 acre Lake Nebagamon, Wisconsin- Honeymoon Point Cabin & Cottage sits on a wooded acre of level lakefront with room for 16 people to sleep comfortably. There are two cabins at Honeymoon Point- 1 large modern and totally remodeled cabin and 1 rustic, quaint and seasonal cottage.

The Main Cabin: is a year round, totally remodeled three level, 5 bedroom and 3 ½ baths home that sleeps 16 people.

Cabin Main Floor: There is a modern kitchen on the main level with a stocked pantry of basic spices and necessities. There is also a Viking refrigerator, a Thermadore range and granite countertops with a granite island as well.

The Master bedroom is located on the main floor- with a king-sized bed, a Master bath and Jacuzzi – as well as a giant walk-in closet and a view of the lake

There is a comfortable family room off the kitchen with reading nook and deck – all overlooking Lake Nebagamon.

Cabin Basement: has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, a card table and 54” cable TV equipped with Cable TV. This level walks out directly towards the lake with a concrete patio outside the sliding glass door.

Cabin 3rd floor: has two bedrooms, large closets and a one bathroom and shower – each bedroom has a queen size bed. One room faces the lake and one room faces the driveway area.

There is Wi-Fi through-out the home, an on demand water heater, air conditioning as well as a washer and dryer.

The home has recently been remodeled and all furniture, mattresses and linens are brand new.

The Game Room: is a heated 900 square foot garage that has been remodeled into a giant game room with an acid stained concrete floor, 64” cable TV, a rustic bar, a pool table and a sit down arcade game with 60 different games.

The Cottage: is a quaint 3 bedroom and 1 bath seasonal cabin that could easily sleep 6 people during warm months. The Cottage has a front porch with windows that open to the lake with a day-bed and a card table. There is a full, small kitchen with a fridge and stove and microwave.

The Cottage has a bathroom with a shower and running water (no water in winter). The Cottage does not have air conditioning- but it does have heat.

The Cottage has all new carpet, wood floors, new tile and brand new linens and towels. There is no TV in the cottage.

The Beach & Lake: Lake Nebagamon is a 950 acre sandy lake that is 54 feet at its deepest. There is one bar/restaurant on the lake and a Dairy Queen right on the lake as well… just a short boat ride directly across from Honeymoon Point. You could boat right across the lake to the bar for a drink and burger and stop by DQ for an ice cream!

The shoreline is sandy and free of weeds- and has a very gradual drop-off until you are about 30 feet from shore. There is a long dock to fish and jump off as well. In town there is a public beach, playground and floating raft.

The Sauna: is located right next to the sandy beach- close enough to get heated up and run and jump off the dock!

The famous Brule River is 15 minutes away... best fly fishing in the Midwest.

Great golf course nearby and tennis courts in town...

About Nicole Wolfe

We have 5 kids and live in the Minneapolis area in a drafty old home with a beautiful view of an alley.

Nicole Wolfe purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Nicole Wolfe chose Lake Nebagamon

We love the Village of Lake Nebagamon- with it's clean water, lake front restaurants, Dairy Queen and public swimming raft- it feels like a step back in time into a Norman Rockwell painting.

What makes this cabin unique

2 cabins for the price of one!! (in the summer at least!)

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to stay at Honeymoon Point. Everything about the place was a wow!! We were ever so comfortable & could never decide which area to use most so we rotated as much as possible. The location right on the lake is fantastic & distance to the small town with great brunch restaurant (Sharon's ) is short. There isn't a thing out of place--the decor is beautiful & everything so clean. Thanks again --we really loved it!! Judy & Roger

Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay in this beautiful house. Lots of comfy beds, ample bathrooms, and a great kitchen with pantry. The weather was very nice so we spent quite a bit of time playing in the garage. Thanks for a nice weekend!

Luxurious relaxation

  • 5 of 5

We visited with 3 families and we all had everything we needed! The rental had everything we needed to cook great meals - including 2 propane grills. The sheets are soft, the beds are comfortable - the kids LOVED the bunk beds! The upstairs, downstairs and game room couches are cushy and accommodated our group well (we had rain so we spent a good bit of time inside). We were all super entertained by the board games, ping pong, pool and table top arcade games. We brought a blue tooth speaker which was handy for the impromptu dance parties - I think that’s the only thing that wasn’t provided! We weren’t able to have a fire by the lake because the rain, but there was plenty of wood and the adriondack chairs looked very welcoming around the fire pit. I even napped on the lounge chairs on the dock! We fished off the dock and had luck with small mouth bass and small sunnies. We can’t wait to visit again - there really was something for everyone and we wanted for nothing. Great vacation getaway!

Great place for large family

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for 3 days recently, our late family Christmas get away with my kids and grandkids. There were 13 of us. The place was great, lots to do. Big main rooms so we could all eat together and sit around to visit. The reading nook was great view, very comfy. The game room garage worked out wonderful. The early risers could head out to watch TV and play games like pool and Pacman and not disturb the sleepyheads. There were lots of comfortable beds, and the rooms made if fun for the cousins to share the same space. They lake is easy access, so ice fishing worked out great. We enjoyed a great fishfry at Twin Gables in Brule Friday, otherwise, we cooked the rest of our meals in easy to use kitchen area. We hope to stay again someday. My grandkids think summer would be the best!

Summer vacation

Great house. Fun week of family time. Don't get your children's hopes up w/ the water trampoline, it belongs to the neighbor and is off limits! Bummer there, but we had a good week otherwise.

Village of Lake Nebagamon is a small town 20 minutes from Duluth- it has a Dairy Queen you can boat to and several bars and restaurants on the lake as well. The town has a public beach and floating raft right on the water and reminds you of a Norman Rockwell painting of what a small, beautiful lake town should look like. Only 20 minutes from famous Brule River... incredible fly fishing for steelhead!
