Wood Run 106C is a proper ski in/ski out property. It is a beautifully decorated and well equipped four bed, five and a half bath property with huge windows and stunning mountain views. There is a great 'family friendly' bunk room where the kids sleep and play (or grown ups that don't fit upstairs), a master bedroom with it's own stairs leading a single bed for those little ones that still need to be near, a deck area with built in barbeque, sauna, private hot tub, double garage and a jacuzzi bath. Plenty for young and old!

The main level bunk room is a wonderful 'retreat' or kids paradise. It features one set of twin log bunks and a single bed (and two pull outs under). This level also has washer/dryer, TV w/VCR and DVD, wet bar w/ small fridge, microwave and sink. Bunk room bathroom has an open area with two sinks, has two seperate toilet areas - one w/a tub/shower, other shower only.

Next level includes kitchen, half bath and living area; kitchen features granite countertops, beautiful wood flooring, and Jennaire style range. Dining table has seating for eight with additional seating for three at the kitchen bar. Living area has a large rock, gas fireplace and TV and is very comforatable. This area opens to a covered deck with built in barbeque and seating for outdoor dining. This level also contains master bed and bathroom with jacuzzi bath and shower. Hallway leads to ski boot dryer, jacket cupboard, boot bench and external ski locker.

The third floor has a wet bar, a master bedroom with a 'secret stairway' to single bed (perfect for those a bit too young for the 'den' but too old for your bed!), and bath that adjoins both the bedroom and the hallway. Another master bed and full bath is on this level. The hallway on this floor leads to a sauna and then out to a covered deck with private hot tub*.

The house and its position is just beautiful and everything has been thought of to make it an exceptional get-a-away for your friends and family vacation.

In the winter you can ski from the back door onto Home Again run which takes you down to Base Lodge from where you can get lift tickets/drinks/dinners/ski school and access the rest of this glorious mountain. And you can pop home for a quick hot chocolate when your legs need a break. The house is in an amazing location for skiers.

In summer time it is an oasis of peace and natural beauty. You are 45 minutes from Glacier National Park entrance, a very short drive to the most fabulous golf courses, and there is tons to do on the mountain itself with zip wire tours, high rope climbing, alpine slide, spider mountain and of course a whole mountain to explore and huckleberries to pick on. Or you could just sit on the balcony with some binoculars and do some wildlife spotting while you BBQ. We like an evening stroll up to the Hellroaring Saloon for a cold beer and best dinner in town.

* In summer season there is a $125 set up fee for the hot tub via special request ahead of time.

Everytime we come we are bowled over by the majesty of Montana, Glacier Park, the quality of the skiing and the snow and the small town charm of Whitefish that is actually very forward thinking. If it were not for family and friends that we can't bear to leave in the UK, we would live in Whitefish tomorrow.

It has everything you could ask for. Cable TV, Internet, Ice maker, big fridge, comfy sofas, hot tub, sauna. And it still looks like new.

Great Family Experience

I highly recommend this condo to all who want to have a very special family vacation in the Mountains. The condo exceeded our expectations. The home is large but very comfortable with all the amenities. It was conveniently located to the village and all the activities without being in a fishbowl.

It was truly a hassle free experience and would highly recommend this home.

Great Guys weekend getaway

This place was outstanding. We had 8 guys that really enjoyed our stay. Lots of room and the ability to ski in and ski out was awesome.

The only negative I would say is that the stereo should be upgraded to handle ipods or mp3 players in order to enjoy our own music as there is not much for radio stations in the area.

All in all it was a great time had by all. Would recomend it in a heartbeat.

Really nice place

The condo is very well maintained and included all items described in the listing. Everything that is there is in really good condition and works well. We had 6 adults although the place could easily sleep and gather more. We had great skiing and the trail to the lift is right out the back door, one of the most convenient accesses we have seen.

Best accomodations ever.

I can't say enough about how well this unit worked out for our two families. The owner was very helpful and the Whitefish Lodging staff was equally pleasant to work with. Home Again run is 30 feet from the back door with easy access to all areas of the mountain. The unit comfortably sleeps two large families, and the amenities were awesome from the hot tub and sauna to the kitchen and great room. Maintenance personel checked on us every day at 10:00 sharp making sure everything was in order. My only hesitation is telling everyone how great this unit was and risking that it will be booked when I schedule my return trip for next ski season! Thank you Jenny and Whitefish Lodging staff for a great experience.

In winter, you can ski in and out from the back door in seconds onto slopes recently voted as 10th best in the US! And summertime ... well, if hiking, biking, fishing, hunting and huckleberrying have left you worn out, then hang at city beach and swim in Whitefish lakes pure glacial waters. Whitefish is a special place and mountainside is the place to enjoy it from.
