Map

Located at the crossroads of the spectacular Columbia River Gorge and the magnificent Cascade Range, Hood River County is a scenic wonderland of natural beauty in every season. Here you’ll discover a world of year-round outdoor recreation, dramatic vistas, historic landmarks, fantastic food, wine and beer—and best of all, warm, friendly people.

Hood River welcomes sports enthusiasts in all seasons. In addition to being the windsurfing capital of the world, we offer kiteboarding and stand-up paddleboarding, mountain and road biking, hiking, whitewater kayaking and rafting, fishing, and world-class skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. With two ports and two boat basins, the area also serves both commercial as well as recreational boating.

The fertile Hood River Valley has been famous for its orchards for more than a century. From blossom time to the turning of the leaves, the more 14,000 acres of commercial pear, apple, cherry, and peach orchards provide miles of scenic beauty. Fruit grown here is of such exceptional quality that the county leads the world in Anjou pear production, and 50% of the nation’s winter pear crop comes from Hood River. The local “Fruit Loop” is a favorite with visitors and locals alike.

Livability and quality of life are priorities in Hood River County. Our mild climate and clean mountain air, our year-round recreational activities for the whole family, and our fresh local culinary delights and award-winning wineries make it a popular destination for visitors from around the world. Festivals, art and cultural happenings, plays and music, and sporting events occur throughout the year. We invite you to visit this place of stunning beauty and discover your next adventure here.

One of Our Favorite HR Rentals!

  • 5 of 5

Everyone in our group absolutely loved this property! The grounds were gorgeous, the home was spacious enough for 5 couples with a bathroom on each floor, and we were within easy walking distance to downtown. Checked off all of our wants/needs boxes! Plus, the property management company was wonderful to work with. We would absolutely rent this home again!

Perfect place for a family occasion!

  • 5 of 5

Three generations in town for a family wedding -- it was delightful to be all together without feeling crowded... plenty of space, three decks --perfect place to be together, but out of each others' way! :-)

Everything was as represented in the advertisement, very clean.

  • 4 of 5

Very clean and roomy with large common area incorporating dining room and living room. Everything was as represented in the advertisement and we were very pleased.

House has AC including additional window units in the upstairs bedrooms so no issue in keeping cool during the summer heat.

Beautiful and perfectly located large rental

  • 5 of 5

The Creekside rental was perfect for our families Hood River vacation. The creek running alongside provides a nice natural ambiance while enjoying the multiple outdoor spaces. The kitchen was huge and well equipped. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms were large and recently renovated. It's only a 5-10 minute walk to downtown Hood River. In summary , it exceeded expectations!

Beautiful, creek-side home

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed in Hood River before, but never in this quaint, residential neighborhood so close to downtown. The house is spectacular and the views from the deck of the Columbia River and Mt. Adams beyond are breathtaking. You couldn't ask for a better place to stay.
