Overview

About the property

El Corazon de Santa Fe--gated Luxury near Plaza--reserved underground parking

This newly renovated condo offers beauty, elegance, and all modern amenities; it is your quiet, gated sanctuary within the heart of downtown Santa Fe. This is the only condo at El Corazon with no stairs, and first floor access to the master bedroom. Drop off your luggage and shopping from the parking area just outside your unit before parking your car in your reserved space in the secure, heated, underground garage. Experience our understated luxury--sink into the Mitchell Gold sofa and leather chairs, & turn in on top of the line Stearns and Foster pillow top mattresses in both bedrooms (king in master, full in second bedroom). Crisp white 600 thread count sheets and duvets await you. Dedicated high speed wi-fi inside and on the rear terrace.

Keycodes provide secure entry vehicle and pedestrian entrance to the parking garage. Several pedestrian gates to the community are accessed with codes that you will be given prior to arrival.

Your residence is a scenic 5-6 minute (Google maps) walk from Santa Fe's 400 year old central plaza, complete with world class dining, shopping, and most importantly, the authentic historic flavor that truly marks Santa Fe as a world class destination. Santa Fe is the second largest art market in North America, with galleries throughout downtown and all along the length of Canyon Road. Excellent skiing is just 30 minutes up the mountain, and the hiking to be had up near the ski area or even closer to town (near St. John's College) is stunning. Take a day trip to Taos on the 'high road' through the small and picturesque towns that help define the special place that is Northern New Mexico.

In summer, the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival is just a few minutes walk to the restored Lensic Theatre or Fine Arts Museum, while the Santa Fe Opera is just 10 minutes from your door.

Central air conditioning and heat ensure your comfort, while opening the bedroom windows to the mountain air coming from one of the largest private walled terraces at El Corazon is also an excellent choice.

Both bedrooms and the living room have large flat screen HD televisions with super crisp and beautiful satellite signals. Begin a program in the living room, pause, and finish in either one of the bedrooms. Of course, different programs may also be simultaneously viewed in each location. Enjoy Blu-ray DVD's in the master bedroom and living room, as well as excellent clear sound from our ZVOX sound bar in the living room. Connect most devices to the ZVOX and listen to your whole playlist. AM/FM/clock radio connectable to many devices available in the Master.

Modern bathroom features large glass walk in shower, granite vanity, and silent drawer storage. Full length mirror aids your preparation for day or evening.

Fitness center is housed in the clubhouse building, just across from your unit. Stay strong with recumbent bicycles, treadmill, elliptical machines, an all-in-one strength training machine, free weights and balance balls. When you're finished, throw your workout clothes into the LG HE washer and dryer in your unit; it's supplied with hypo-allergenic and fragrance free detergent. Both machines feature steam cycles.

Access your private outdoor walled terrace directly from the master bedroom and relax with coffee in the morning or wine as the evening commences. Kitchen-Aid stainless steel grill in the patio area is ready for your aged steaks or fresh wild (seasonal) salmon; both available along with almost anything else your gourmet cook can dream up from the nearby and very well-stocked Whole Foods. Enjoy using our stainless Kitchen-Aid appliances, Cuisinart pots and pans, and most any cooking tools you might need.

Of course, top culinary options abound in downtown Santa Fe, and you'll be able to walk to most of them.

You have access to world class dining as well as local specialties, from award winning Spanish tapas at 'La Boca' and prime steaks at the 'Bull Ring', to the award winning 'Coyote Cafe' where wonders await in an elegant dining atmosphere. 'Geronimo' or 'The Compound' make an enticing finish to a stroll up Canyon Road. Don't miss a visit to 'The Shed' for their fabulous northern New Mexico chile and outstanding margaritas. You've arrived!

The European ambiance of downtown Santa Fe combined with our bright days and clear nights conspire to make your stay enchanting. Bienvenidos!

About Daniel and Gillian Brandt

I began commuting to work in Santa Fe while living across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco in Sausalito. These two 'SF's' are our favorite places to be outside, to dine and to find adventure.

Daniel and Gillian Brandt purchased this condo in 2006

Why Daniel and Gillian Brandt chose Santa Fe

We simply love Santa Fe, as well as the whole northern New Mexico region. The quality of the light here is truly luminous, the clean air is addictive and intoxicating. This gorgeous residence offers easy and scenic walking access to downtown and the historic plaza together with the luxurious and gated privacy of El Corazon de Santa Fe.

What makes this condo unique

Get some air! World class hiking trail heads are literally minutes from the residence. You may choose from a 30 minute walk on the Dorothy Stewart trail, a 1.5-3 hour to the top of Atalaya via the Dale Ball trail system above St. John's College, or a multi-day oddessey including the summit of Santa Fe Baldy in the Pecos Wilderness, accessed from the Santa Fe Ski area.

Taos's artist mecca is just 90 scenic minutes north, while the spectacular red rocks of Georgia O'Keefe country and Abiquiu's 'Ghost Ranch' are 30 minutes.

Very comfortable, clean, perfect location, quiet.

  • 5 of 5

Great place to stay in SF. Spent 4 nights here with my wife and 4yr old daughter. Very comfortable living. Gated community, safe parking, yet very close to downtown. I could easily walk to the main downtown shops, etc. very quiet community. The condos feel solid. Very little noise from neighbors. Would definitely stay here again if downtown was the primary location of interest.

Wonderful Condo

  • 5 of 5

This condo was perfect for our stay in Santa Fe. Centrally located within easy walking distance of downtown attractions, and has a dedicated parking spot in underground garage. The two bedrooms contain super comfortable beds with great linens and plenty of pillows. The patio off the master is a great place for morning coffee (nice auto-drip coffee maker in the kitchen) The bathroom is large and light and has plenty of towels and two hairdryers.

Owners were very responsive and easy to contact.

Well stocked and wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

We came to Santa Fe for the International Folk Art Festival and had a wonderful time at this property. The kitchen is well stocked if you want to cook a meal or lounge on the patio. The place was immaculate and there were plenty of thick towels and everything you can think of. The owners gave recommendations for nearby restaurants or where to get groceries and they were great! The property is on beautiful grounds, very quiet and private. You are within walking distance to the plaza and museums. We will definitely stay here again when we are in Santa Fe.

  • 5 of 5

Nice amenities. Owner makes sure you have all the info you need and is available for any questions. This was perfect for our family, but could work for anyone. The kitchen had everything we needed. We were very close to grocery shopping and walking distance to downtown. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return.
