About Tish Burris
I am a world traveler that settled here in Troy Montana. I went to high school in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in NE Africa. I spent most of my career in the corporate world. I purchased this property in 2000 after some family deaths. I left corporate and decided to purchase this wonderful property. I developed this beautiful river property for others to enjoy as well. As I have just moved back last year. I live in a church that was going to be destroyed. I purchased it and moved it to the property. It is work in progress. While the cabins have been completed and are perfect. It is time for some attention to my own place. I spent a year at sea with my family on a 41 ft sloop and loved it. But solid land feels pretty good too.
Tish Burris purchased this Cabin in 2000
Why Tish Burris chose Troy
As all the guests say and is representative of my own view, this property is amazing! No one could see the potential at the time I purchased it. There were old car parts, boats, trash and it was overgrown. A dilapidated house I had to burn down. The fire dept. did a practice burn for the reward of beer after it was completed. After I peeled back the onion, there it was, a beautiful 2 acre parcel on the river with fruit trees and Cedar trees all around. I came here to recoup from my family tragedies and all that hard work promoted just that.
What makes this Cabin unique
River frontage at it's best, fruit trees everywhere. Hunting, fishing, hiking, swimming and promotes relaxation immediately. The cabins are great! But the river can sooth the sole and rejuvenate you even when you didn't even realize you needed it.

A real treasure
Tish's place is a real treasure, if you are lucky enough to find this gem. This is my second stay in one of her cozy, charming and perfectly comfortable cabins. I hope to be back every year!
Super Cozy Get Away!!
My husband and I stayed 3 nights at this lovely, zen cabin and completely enjoyed the calm, peaceful environment and the lovely view!! The cabin is as pictured plus and was well stocked with everything we needed to cook our own meals. The linens were new and quality and the bed was very comfortable with a good mattress. Tish, the owner is a wonderful host, friendly and available if we were to have any problems or questions. We didn't have any problems and the only question we had was directions to a nearby lake which she promptly looked up and printed out for us. If you are looking for a calm, quiet get away in a lovely setting where you can decompress and relax, this is the place you need to stay.
Located on the edge of town, right on the Kootenai River which is one of the major rivers and provide critical habitat for several rare native fish species. The cabin is a rustic, accommodating cabin with lots of amenities. Great hunting, fishing & hiking. Must see places include Ross Creek Cedars, Swinging Bridge, Yaak, Cabinet Mountains, just a beautiful place in general. Local Brewery in LIbby Montana, 18 miles away and Turner Mountain ski resort. Home Bar is a great place to have a steak or burger and beer or your favorite spirit. Amish bakery and a local museum.
