About Covita and Christopher Moroney
Christopher and I married in 1977, and move to San Antonio in 1980. As artists and musicians, we headed West from Boston in search of opportunity. Our three big areas of interest are: 1. Music — we founded the San Antonio Vocal Arts Ensemble in 1989 and have six commercial recordings as well as numerous concert tours across the country. 2. Art — Christopher is a highly-regarded designer and illustrator. You will see his work all over the house, and in 50+ children's books among others. 3. Tibetan Buddhism — We have a close relationship with two Tibetan monks, who are our teachers and Dharma friends. They have stayed with us at the house for months at a time, teaching Buddhism in the living room! We love to travel, and seem to be DYI travelers, having avoided organized tours. We've been to India (to visit the monks mentioned above), Israel, Bolivia, Peru, Mexico, Canada, and Spain. We're lucky to have family in Massachusetts (where Christopher was born) and on Cape Cod, — where we played music as youngsters. Also we have siblings and many relatives in Hawaii, who've been there for 35+ years. Last, but not least, we have lots of family in California (Not the and South) where Covita was born. You are very welcome to enjoy the home we cherished for 35 years. In 2017 we have relocated to a different part of town in order to care for Christopher's 88-year old Mother. We are very hand-on, doing the yard work and laundry, cleaning (etc.) ourselves because we have loved this house for many years and want to share.

Why Covita and Christopher Moroney chose Uptown
This lovely home is well maintained, always clean, and a charming garden home that is just steps from San Antonio's largest park, yet centrally located 10 min. from the SAT airport, and 20 min. to downtown San Antonio and The Pearl. Guests regularly comment that we've "thought of everything" when they see the quality towels and sheets, the coffee and tea supplied, and the array of cooking utensils and equipment in the kitchen. We work very hard to make sure you feel comfortable and at-ease the moment you step into our house. In 2017 we replace all of the major appliances, re-painted, and replaced the roof....so guests have no hassles to cope with! A new attached garden apt. is available (separate listing), expanding your bed/bath capacity to 12 people when both are rented! This house is offered by its original owners, who have brought years of lively art, music, and visiting Tibetan monks to a charming residence in a quiet neighborhood. Medium Dogs OK.

What a treat
We were happy with everything. 4 people in our family, very comfortable.
Very cozy and welcoming
I really enjoyed staying in your home. I really appreciate everything the house had to offer to help us feel at home such as the pots and pans for cooking and the littlest things that make a big difference such as seasonings, coffee, sugar, etc....
Thanks y'all again for letting us stay in your home.
I felt like home here! I like that there was seating area in the front and backyard. My kids loved that they each had their own rooms as well
