This apartment is well-located in the fun Plateau neighbourhood, near shops and restaurants. It's close to the Metro as well, so although you're not near the main sightseeing areas of Montréal, they're all easily accessible. It's a quiet residential area, which is nice for sleeping and relaxing.
We were on a girlfriends getaway, and this place is perfect for three adults, as it has three separate bedrooms with real beds (as opposed to sofabeds.) It's actually larger than the photos indicate, and great for a longer stay; we were there for a week. If you want to cook, the kitchen is fully outfitted. We all agreed that we would stay here again!
The only way our stay could have been improved would be better communication. Nobody was there to meet us as scheduled which led to a minor panic, and recommendations for good nearby restaurants would be helpful.
I am sorry we were late. We came as soon as possible. It is the first time we are late meeting a guest.
Perfect sanctuary in Montreal
This was a wonderful property suited for our family of 5. It is conveniently located close to two metro stops and many shops and restaurants. Owner was extremely responsive to texts and accommodating to our request to check in early. We definitely plan on returning.
Beautiful historic condo in a wonderful convenient part of town.
We absolutely loved the property. It was very central for us and there were lots of areas to walk to as well. Would stay again.
Comfortable and Cozy
This rustic home is full of charm and quite spacious. The three of us enjoyed our stay quite a lot. I love having plants at home so it was nice to stay at a place where we could enjoy some greenery when the entire country was cocooned in a blanket of snow. It's within walking distance of two metro stations (Laurier and Mont-Royal) and L'avenue (https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g155032-d705765-Reviews-Restaurant_L_Avenue-Montreal_Quebec.html - try the Grand Marnier Crème Brûlée French toast you won't regret it!)
Mike, who helped us with our check in and check out process, is very easy to get a hold of and very helpful. I would book the place again the next time I'm here.
Thank you for your comments. Much appreciated. You will always be welcome.
Cozy Christmas sur le Plateau
Our family of four spent three snowy nights here over Christmas. The apartment was a perfect base for heading out by foot, car or Metro to enjoy Montreal. Despite the cold and snow we were warm and comfortable, and our host helped us navigate the plowing alerts so we moved our car and avoided being towed. A very efficient system! The apartment itself has a minimalist, " Mad Men " look, the beds are comfortable and there is a washer/ dryer on site. There are two very large plants - one almost a tree, that soften the space and we spread our gifts under the one in the living room. We didn't really cook ( with so many great restaurants to choose from ) but the kitchen was equipped if one wanted to. We asked our host for another entry mat as Montreal pours salt on the roads and sidewalks and we wanted to avoid tracking that inside - he supplied us with a tray for our boots that day. Suggestions: some soap, shampoo and tissues in the bathroom would be nice. More details in the guest book re: nearby restaurants, snow and garbage protocols, Metro. It is hard to remember all those details upon arrival. Our host did email us a list of restaurants upon request. In short, this is a very pleasant place to stay in a great neighborhood. The antique kimono store on the corner is exquisite and just one example of the tremendous diversity and charm of this wonderful city.
Thank you for your detailed comments. We will incorporate a list in the guest book.
I am glad you enjoyed your stay.
Happy New Year
Dozens of cafes and restaurants just steps away. Also grocery stores and health food stores. The Plateau right there for you. The Plateau Mont Royal area. One could call it the Montmartre of Montreal. Lots of artisan shops, restaurants, creativity. Within easy reach of downtown, Old Montreal, the Palais des Congres, the festival areas, Parc Lafontaine. McGill and Concordia Universities, UQAM, and much more. Montreal - home to festivals galore (the Jazz Fest, Film Fest, Comedy Fest, and more), home to La Ronde (amusement park), thousands of boutiques and restaurants, the Bio-dome, museums, theatres, live music, nightliife, the Grand Prix. Home to the cobble-stoned streets of Old Montreal, and so much more.
