Incredible house, spectacular views and gorgeous interior structure. Our family was amazed, truly a highlight. We have gone to Lake Placid many times and this was the first time the residence clearly outshined the area attractions. Property even exceeded expectations. The game room kept the younger children entertained and the eating areas worked well for both large and small parties. The house offered something for everyone, and we would recommend this property without reservation.
We had our annual ski trip at the lovely Forest Brook Manor house. We had a blast there: The mansion is huge, with plenty spaces for everyone with whatever the mood you are in: big breakfast and dining room, private study, cozy living room. The view is fantastic and the internal decoration is artistic. The bedding and the towel are new and fresh with top of the line quality! The host also prepared plenty chips, snacks and gourmet coffee, plenty cooking utensil if you like to cook. In a word, we really enjoyed our stay there! Love to return for summer or fall to enjoy the big screen house and patio!
A lovely home with stunning views! My extended family stayed here for my daughter's wedding. We filled all the bedrooms but the house is so spacious that it was never crowded even with many friends and family dropping in. Wonderful kitchen, butler's pantry, multiple seating areas - inside and out. We are already planning a return trip this winter.
WOW!! SNOW-My first visit in April 2014 then Second Visit in June 2014 WOW!!
WOW! First let me start out and say this place is AMAZING. April still had a lot of snow and we felt we were in a winter wonderland. With the beauty of the mountains, the open huge snow front yard and great screened in porch with gas fireplace, which is off the kitchen, we were in heaven. This house has everything and more.We just loved the spacious bar room with wood fireplace. We decided to cook at home in a great kitchen well equipped and dine in a formal dining room decorated as if we were royalty from the early 1900's with large windows overlooking the front yard and mountains. As you walk through the doors to a large room with a piano, fireplace, reading books, reading chairs along with table and chairs were we had our morning coffee in April looking out to the beauty of the snowy mountains had its CHARM. So as night came we headed upstairs to 3 bedrooms on 1 side of house all with own bathroom and 3 on the other side. So if you have kids with you it's great. The rooms were decorated all with their own flare and tasteful. The bedrooms are very cozy, beds were very comfortable and bathrooms very clean and well stocked. There are wonderful views from every room giving you a feel of being outside under the sky in wilderness but not.We loved it so much we returned in June to green grass, trees flourishing, flowers blooming everywhere and again on the screened in porch listening to the birds with our morning coffee. Our family again decided to cook home one night and barbeque in this amazing area outside. All we needed was the food. This house is equipped with every thing even a fantastic wine refrigerator and so,so spacious that no one is on top of each other no matter what.TV's everywhere for those who want to watch a game or movie. Porch's everywhere to sit on even one off the master bedroom and bar, rooms to gather in whether young or old, great books to read with good old fashion relaxation. You can even take a stroll on this huge property and just listen to nature, see the mountains, look to the sky, view the moon but mostly you need to go out on a well maintained lawn and Count Your Lucky Stars you came here, especially if your from the city. The sky is amazing!! So with lots of parking and the charm and warmth this home away from home has given us, my family and I can't wait for our next visit. Making reservations are quick & easy,There is no problem checking in or out. The town shops, activities, attractions & restaurants are amazing as are the people.WOW!
Family Wedding Site
Beautiful home in a beautiful setting.
Extended Family stayed here the week leading up to our daughter's wedding , which we held on the grounds.
Large well designed Kitchen for all the cooking that needed to be done, even big enough for the caterer to do their thing for the reception.
Great screened porch with a fireplace to ward off the chills in the evenings.
All in all a very enjoyable place to stay.
