About Jody Richards

We are Montana natives and currently reside in Scottsdale, Arizona. When we decided to build our vacation home that our entire family could enjoy, Bozeman was our one and only choice! We still have many friends and family members in Montana and we enjoy returning to the "Homeland" every year for a little R&R. We have lived throughout Montana and raised our family here until relocating to Arizona in 2003. Don graduated from MSU and Patty from MSUB.

Now that our children have started families of their own, we wanted to give them and our grandchildren a place to call home in Montana and to be able to experience all it has to offer, especially the seasons! We chose Bozeman because of our many ties to the area and to be near our family when we visit. We love Alder Creek's proximity to MSU, Museum of the Rockies, Hyalite Canyon, Sourdough Creek, Bogart Park's Farmers Markets, walking and hiking trails and the great neighborhood parks.

Our daughter, Erin, is an interior designer and she and Patty wanted our Montana home to be a beautiful place that was comfortable and welcoming for our family, friends, visitors and guests. They succeeded! We want our guests to look forward to relaxing in the living room, cozying up in front of the fireplace, enjoying a barbecue on the patio, or taking in the mountain view from the porch before escaping to their chosen bedroom for the night. Our Spring Ridge Cottage is our home away from home and we hope you come to know it as yours as well! Enjoy your stay!

What makes this house unique

Location in a quiet subdivision on the south side of town and close to MSU for visiting MSU families!

Guestbook comments from the manager

We were in Bozeman for a family wedding in September. We had never used VRBO before, but with the addition of a grandchild we checked it out. What a lovely home with a terrific location. The house was decorated so beautifully you felt like you were at a 5 star resort.. Special attention was paid to every detail of the home. When it says a fully equipped kitchen they out-did themselves. The beds are beyond comfortable. We all slept great. The hiking and biking are conveniently close as is the university. Great restaurants are near by that rival anything we have in Colorado, too. I'd recommend this home to anyone looking to have an amazing stay in a great city.

Jody (property representative) was wonderful to work with. She was available and accommodating.

Fabulous house for our group of ladies!

  • 5 of 5

The house was just as wonderful as pictured, kitchen well equipped for anything we could need with an abundance of dishes, and serving pieces. Beds were comfortable, and it seems like the owners left nothing to chance. We were thrilled and will hope to return. Nice quiet neighborhood and close to town, and Bridger Bowl and not too far for a day trip to Yellowstone and also to Big Sky. We have been to Bozeman several times and this house was perfect for our ladies reunion. Would be great for a family as well. I am a very particular person and I was thrilled, seemed like the owners think like me. We cannot wait to return.

Beautiful property!!!! We love the layout of the home, and the amenities are so wonderful.

  • 5 of 5

This is our second stay at the cottage, and it will NOT be our last! Our family enjoyed the quiet, relaxing atmosphere, and felt so comfortable. We appreciated the amenities and those "special" items that were available to us (the ironing board, additional cleaning supplies, etc.) Another visit to Bozeman and the cottage are in our future.... hopefully next spring!

Wonderful Stay in Bozeman!

  • 5 of 5

Our family rented The Cottage last minute for the Labor Day weekend! We were very happy we did so! The house is even better than the photos. It's roomy, extremely clean and well kept, well stocked, and beautifully decorated. We felt so at home there. The neighborhood is new and quiet, close to everything we wanted to go to. Jody was wonderful to work with. We needed a pack n play, and as promised, it was there waiting for us.

Couldn't have asked for a better weekend despite the fall rain. I would definitely recommend The Cottage.

Just like home!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, mother-in-law and I stayed 3 days in this wonderful cottage. The home was equipped with everything we could possibly need. Beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable! We were able to host our son and his roommate from MSU for a nice dinner and movie night. Super convenient to MSU campus! We had a little glitch with TV service but Jody was AWESOME and managed the situation quickly. We would definitely recommend staying at the cottage and we will be back for sure!

Walk 5 minutes to the football stadium to catch a MSU Bobcat game, or a 5 minute walk to the museum of the Rockies. Located on the south side of town, this house is so close to the 'Main St. to the Mountains' trail system that is great for walking and biking. There are great hikes just 2 miles to the south of the house, not to mention Hyalite recreational area.
