This charming and private Garden District Guest Cottage provides the perfect setting to relax after a day of exploration or a night of world class music, food and drink!

Located just 3 blocks from the St. Charles Avenue streetcar, which takes you to the French Quarter in under 15 minutes, and only 2 blocks from well known Magazine Street shops and restaurants you won't find a better place to call home while enjoying a memorable New Orleans experience.

What to expect from the Cottage

Pass through our gate into a tropical courtyard that is tucked away behind the main house. There you will find your private entrance to your free-standing guest house. Inside will be a newly renovated space with antique wood-tone tiled floors; gabled ceiling; kitchen; full bath; and open plan dining room/living room with leather furnishings, table for two, and HDTV.

Amenities include

Direct TV, Wifi, central air and heat. Just outside your door you'll be surrounded by tropical foliage and the tranquil sound of our waterfall - truly an Oasis for your morning coffee or afternoon libations in the garden!

This apartment is available year round, and is IDEALLY suited for Mardi Gras! Being so close to the parade route allows you to return during the day between parades, and at any time to use the 'facilities'. Believe it - having access to a bathroom during Mardi Gras is a very big deal.


The Cottage is secured by a numeric entry code system - you get your own unique access code. Plus there are video cameras throughout the property for additional security. And, we also have a neighborhood private security force that regularly patrols the area - so you are assured of your safety.

Parking and transportation

There is plenty of free, safe, public parking on the street and most guest find they don't need a car once they arrive as you can walk to St. Charles Ave and Magazine St. in under 5 minutes. We also get excellent Uber and Lift service, and can recommend a private driver if you wish.

With the The Warehouse/Arts District and French Quarter in one direction and Uptown, Zoo, Tulane and Loyola Universities in the other there is always something interesting just a few minutes away.

WE ARE FULLY LICENSED BY THE CITY OF NEW ORLEANS (LICENSE NUMBER 17-STR-07083) AND IN FULL COMPLIANCE WITH ALL LICENSING AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS. There is a central station monitoring system for fire and smoke as well as video cameras throughout the property for added security.

PLEASE NOTE: As this property is in a residential, quiet area, no loud parties are allowed. Only those booked and registered on the reservation will be allowed on the property. If you will be having guests who are not registered, we must be notified in advance. Quiet hours are 10pm to 10am in respect for other guests.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Some reviews have mentioned a pool. We regret that due to insurance regulation, there is NO ACCESS to the pool. In fairness to guests looking to book this property, we must advise that use of the pool is NOT INCLUDED in this rental. Please do not rent this property expecting to use the pool. Originally from New York City, we have been coming to New Orleans for over 25 years for several weeks at a time as Tom has a business in the music industry. When the kids finally moved out of the house, we decided to sell and find a place in New Orleans! We still maintain a presence in NY, but New Orleans is our home now!

The Cottage in the Garden District

My husband and I had a lovely stay at the The Cottage. It was easily accessible, very clean and comfortable. The Cottage is located near Commanders Palace and only a short walk to St. Charles for the streetcar and Magazine for shopping. Definitely would stay there again. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Loved it!

Charming Cottage for Two!

The cottage was charming, perfect for just the two of us. It looked just like it does in the pictures...airy, beachy, cozy. It was VERY clean and VERY comfortable. The directions for getting in and out of the room were easy to follow. The location was perfect- a safe, beautiful neighborhood just a short walk from several outstanding restaurants, antique shopping, thrift shops, and clothing stores, and a short LYFT or Uber from Frenchman Street/French Quarter. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend this place.

What an absolutely wonderful poolside villa to call “home” while visiting NOLA! It’s a perfect amount of space for 2. It’s great to have a kitchen! It was so quiet and private! The streetcar on Charles Ave will get you to the Quarter. Roberta was a wonderful hostess- she shared many stories and led us to love The Blind Pelican- $3/dozen for raw oysters! You need to stay with Roberta and Tom!! We can’t wait to return!!

A Garden District Delight!!

This lovely, charming Villa is conveniently located in the Historic Garden District of New Orleans. We felt right at home upon our arrival and was welcomed with Roberta's open heart & big smile! The villa is very clean, charming, and quite romantic for a couple. With only 2 days in Nola, we were able to do everything we wanted & more, with close proximity to many top notch restaurants! Getting to the French quarter was very accessible by street car. We also took a very inexpensive uber to the Fairgrounds for Jazz Fest. We love this property & will certainly return in the near future!! THANK YOU!!!
