Sapphire Beach is a luxury condominium property on the south of the island directly on Dover Beach which is close to the St. Lawrence Gap (the Gap). It was designed by renowned architect Ian Morrison and opened its doors to owners and guests in December, 2009.
In addition to its convenient location (no car required) and attractive design, the property benefits from gated private parking, 24hr security, on-site property management, two large beach front pools, gardens and a state-of-the-art fitness centre fully outfitted with the latest in exercise equipment and machinery.
The apartment is on the second floor (two above ground) and was tastefully furnished and decorated by interior designers. It can be rented as a two or three bedroom and includes air-conditioning and ceiling fans throughout, complete kitchen including dishwasher and washer/dryer, flat screen TVs with Cable, telephone and wireless internet. The master bedroom, living/dining areas both have direct ocean views.
Everything was exceptional and we had a great time. I will be sure to contact you ASK again for our next trip to Barbados.

Everything was extremely easy to organise, with airport collection and car hire all done through Albert and his colleagues.
The apartment was lovely, spacious, clean and well looked after. There was ample space for our two children to run and crawl around in. Arriving late in the evening proved to be no problem and the fact that some basic provisions were provided (milk, biscuits, fruit and cake) was a huge bonus.
The complex is right on the beach but also has two pools, which were generally very quiet and with steps at each end were perfect for our 2 year old to enjoy.
The beach is also excellent, quite wide with palm trees at the back providing shade when needed, certainly the best beach we saw on the island, although the waves were bigger than elsewhere. In the apartment were beach towels, buckets, spades and various beach toys, a really helpful touch.
Overall Barbados is a lovely place for a holiday and we would love to go back, and if we do it will certainly be to this apartment, it was perfect.
The property is directly on Dover Beach and is a few minutes walking distance to the popular and well know St. Lawrence Gap (the Gap) which has a large choice of dining, entertainment and bars/clubs. No need for a car in this location as everything needed on holiday is within walking distance including shops for groceries, souvenirs etc. Taxi cabs are always available nearby as well as local public transportation (US$.75 cents a trip) made of up large and medium sized buses.
The airport is 15 minutes drive away and the main city centre Bridgetown is about the same distance/time away.
