Attractive, affordable, conveniently located near the base of Big Sky Resort, restaurants and shopping,, Wireless Internet Service, DISH connections to flat screens in master bedroom and living room...BluRays in living room and in both bedrooms. Quiet, no-smoking allowed complex....upstairs unit with a view-to-die for of Lone Peak Mountain.

Free parking in front of building. Big Sky Resort has something special for everybody who visits....Yellowstone Park is convenient and there are summer and winter activities for the young and the young at heart....perfect place for vacations. This condo is convenient to fly fishing, Yellowstone Park, Big Sky Resort Base Camp, and numerous other attractions. You can ski in, right to the entrance to the parking lot, unless "melting season" comes early. I don't recommend the uphill trek to White Otter lift, although some people do walk up there. There are much easier and more convenient ways to get over to the lifts. Big Sky Resort recently combined with Moonlight Basin and Spanish Peaks resorts and now has the largest ski area in the US, with 5800 acres and a 4,350 ft vertical drop....the average annual snowfall is 400 inches. Lone Peak, at 11,166 feet, offers challenging runs and chutes, and magic carpets at the base offer kid-friendly beginner runs. From your condo, walk to the ski lifts, shopping, restaurants, and hiking trails,or ride the bus from the Cedar Creek parking lot to the Big Sky Golf course, movie theaters, restaurants, and shopping. Yellowstone National Park is 26 miles from Cedar Creek and the West Entrance is 58 miles. We stock a lot of extras so you can save your money for souvenirs to surprise your family, friends, and pets.

The unit has 2 bedrooms with luxury mattresses on queen beds--2 full baths with large fluffy towels, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, range, oven, toaster, coffee maker, crockpot, mixer, blender, a full array of pots and pans; a full sized refrigerator and freezer/ice maker; washer/dryer, and a private ski locker. The unit has ceiling fans in all rooms; Blu-Ray DVD, DISH network, flat screen TVs in living/master bedroom; Wireless Internet connection provided. Coffee, flour, sugar, salt & pepper, a new spice rack with most spices a cook desires, dish & laundry detergent, shampoo & conditioner, soap, linens, and all paper products are furnished. Relax and soak in the view of Lone Peak Mountain. This is a great place to vacation.

Why Billie chose Big Sky Resort

We bought our first condo at Cedar Creek in 1998, after discovering the great slopes, hiking trails, and conveniently located 'everything' we desired. When Unit 15 became available, we bought and totally remodeled it--it gets new linens each year and more often if needed, has beautiful ceramic tile and wood flooring, tile countertops and back splashes, and a bar where you can sit and aggravate the cook. Cedar Creek is attractive, affordable, and within walking distance to just about everywhere. There is bus service from the parking lot entrance to the resort area and to the town center and meadow village, during the winter. This unit is suitable for children but is not wheelchair accessible. As much as we love pets, the HOA rules say guests can't bring them to the complex.

What makes this condo unique

Lone Peak can be seen from the living room and master bedroom of Unit 15. After a full day on the slopes at either Big Sky Resort, which connects to Moonlight Basin and Spanish Peaks---where you spend your time skiing, not waiting in lift lines---you can kick back in one of the electronically operated recliners and enjoy beautiful Lone Peak, from the living room window. Be forewarned....after a day on the slopes, hiking the beautiful mountain trails, fly fishing in our rivers, horseback riding, or a day of rafting, you may drift off with visions of Big Sky's peaks, and spend the night in a comfortable recliner ;-) while dreaming of getting to stay longer.

Babysitters must be scheduled, at extra charge. There is a pool and hot tub, which is owned by Big Sky Resort, down the mountain at The Whitewater Inn. Guests have to make their own arrangements to use the pool and spa; fees are paid by guest to the Whitewater Inn at time of use. Fees for using pool and spa are not covered in the rental costs of the condo. Our objective is to ensure your stay in our unit is such that you can't wait to visit us again!

Wonderful and beautiful

Big Sky is very beautiful. The condo was very nice. Everything we needed was provided. Since we are not as savy with our phones as younger folks, we wished there had been an alarm clock. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this condo and Big Sky to anyone wanting to see the wonderful state of Montana. God blessed us to be able to see the wildlife, rivers, and beautiful mountains.

Great place

I am stopping short of 5 stars and will have a dig at the end, but first all the good stuff.

The process: easy to book, updated availability calendar, clear and simple arrival and departure instructions, this owner is a real pleasure in terms of making things easy!!

The place: it is nice, clean, and very well appointed. They even had dryer sheets! Yes, per other comments here, it is dated and maybe the furniture is big and simple changes like putting the offending dresser into the closet and ditching a chair or two might help, but I can live with that for a week. It's a very comfortable place!

The location: we where there to ski, and the location is very convenient to free transportation to the main base area. There is a parking lot shuttle serving day lots proximate to the complex and a very easy 150 yd walk gets you there. We geared up in the unit and walked to the parking shuttle turn around. We started early each day so for us timing was such that shuttles were super frequent meaning virtually no wait. We returned the same way. And therein lies the rub - they advertise the unit as ski in ski out and even have elaborate instructions on how it technically can be done. We never tried as other residents chuckled when we suggested it was possible, and then they elaborated on the absurdity of the effort required to do it. Calling this place ski in ski out is a stretch at best.

Final verdict: I would recommend this place to my friends - it is comfortable and it is convenient. However, if I where to rate this place on the advertised "ski-in ski-out" it would get 1 star (I think there are many bogus ski in ski out claims at Big Sky!), if it were advertised as simply "convenient to base area" I probably would have given it 5 stars. Because it's a great place and we had such a great time I still give them 4 stars!!

Owner's Response: Jeff: I count my blessings at having gotten 51 five star reviews on this unit. I'm 75 and have had multiple joint replacements and 26 major orthopedic surgeries but on days that I can get out, I can ski right to the parking lot entrance. It is an easy ski in to this complex and it is fun. I'm so sorry you didn't ski in, at least once....you would have discovered it is fantastic! I make it clear that this unit is not ski out....I can't make the trek uphill to White Otter lift, even on my best days; therefore I have never advertised the unit as ski out. I have a comment in the ad that makes it clear this unit isn't ski out. At the beginning of each season, I get new sheets and towels. And I always ensure there are plenty of pots and pans, dishes, and all paper products, detergents, and other supplies. I don't want guests to have to spend their money for coffee, tea, sugar, flour, spices, or other "comforts of home" or to have to go buy toilet paper two days after arriving. I would never make bogus claims about any unit that I manage.....would rather a person book elsewhere than to have an unhappy guest. I'm so sorry if you booked this unit with the impression it was ski out. A family from New York has stayed in this unit three times. Even their 3-year old skis in, right to the entrance. Their mother said the kids both "giggle all the way to the condo, for lunch" and then they hop on the shuttle and ride back over to the resort for a few more runs. I am blessed each time someone chooses to book one of the units I manage..... I know you have many options. I do everything I can to earn top ratings and am sorry you booked with the expectation that this unit is ski out. I try to make it clear that it isn't.....but it definitely is an easy ski out. Everthing And the Kitchen Sink!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this comfortable unit - convenient to skiing and the amenities of the Big Sky Resort area. The spectacular view of Lone Mountain adds to the cozy ambience of the place. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay easy, from coffee to crock pot! Even laundry detergent and soap and shampoo in the bathrooms make for easy packing!

The Free Shuttle service to the lifts and ski in/out access makes it easy for family members to come and go on their own; and, the short walk (or ride) to the resort's Base Camp area restaurants makes it convenient for the non-skiers to meet up for lunch or apres ski with the skiers.

Big Sky was voted Best Snow in the Nation while we were there, last week, so it's the place to ski this winter!

This place is definitely on our "Must Return" List

Nice condo but small and made even smaller with too much large furniture.

The condo is definitely ski in but it is a hike, shuttle or car ride to the lift. The beds and other furniture were in good shape. The kitchen was well stocked and plenty of nice towels. Having a humidifier was a real plus. I would have given the condo five stars if there had been less furniture. Both my husband and I have bruises on our knees from banging the footboard on the bed trying to get around the extra dresser to the closet.

Owner's Response: Ruth: As noted in the ad, this 2-bedroom, 2 full bath unit is 783 sq ft. It is affordable for young families with limited budgets who want to share our beautiful Big Sky mountains. As you noted, the complex is an easy ski in; however, it is not ski out and has never been advertised as ski out. I hope you had a safe trip home and that you will come back to visit Big Sky. For your next ski trip, if you look under the descriptions for various units, it states the square footage of the condos and that will assist you in reserving a larger unit that better suits your needs. I recently assisted a family in finding a unit that had over 3,000 sq ft and was right on the mountain. It was quite expensive but they all had lots of room. God Bless You and Yours! Billie

Great condo in Big Sky!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Big Sky from 12/16/17-12/22/17. Billie and Ed were so easy to work with and you could tell they had thought of every item that you would need while staying in their condo. From sugar, coffee, cooking spray, ziploc bags, aluminum foil and all the pots and pans needed for cooking to laundry detergent and dryer sheets. And they provided an ample supply of garbage bags, toilet paper and paper towels. Every other rental I've stayed at I've had to supply all the paper products after we used up the first two rolls but not here. The condo is around a 1/2 mile walk to the slopes but since we had a rental car we would drive to the free skier parking lots and park and walk the rest of the way. Or you could catch the shuttle that runs from the free skier parking lots. This was the first time our 6 year old son had been skiing and we enrolled him in half day ski lessons for two days and by the end of his 2nd lesson he was riding the lifts with us and skiing down the beginner slopes! We also drove to West Yellowstone (1 hour drive) and rode snowmobiles one day, found a sledding hill in Meadow Village to sled down one day and also enjoyed a sleigh ride dinner at Lone Mountain Ranch one evening (one of my bucket list items and well worth the money). You also get an awesome view of Lone Peak from the living room window of Unit 15 so we enjoyed drinking our coffee every morning to that view. Big Sky really is a hidden gem and every time I visit I fall in love a little more. Thanks Billie and Ed for making your condo so enjoyable!

We work diligently to ensure our guests have the "comforts of home" and things they need so instead of shopping for toilet paper they can spend their time and money doing fun things. You really maximized your time in Big Sky. We're glad you went snowmobiling in Yellowstone, got to experience the sleight ride up the mountain for the prime rib dinner at Lone Mountain Ranch, introduced your son to the bunny slopes and had so many other adventures. We're impressed that after two lessons your son was riding the lifts and sking down with you! Big Sky Resort has a wonderful ski school. Our granddaughter was two and a half and had so much fun....she was a little young but it was a grand experience for her and well worth spending grandparents' money! Excellent unit, exceeds description, beautiful view.

This would be my personal preference for Big Sky stay. There are cheaper units but this one is upscale with luxury mattresses and high quality linens. Unit was immaculate and had helpful information and summary of rules posted and owner covered rules ...no smoking, no pets except for qualified service dog, approved in advance. You are told rules and told there is strict enforcement. This was a very quiet complex. Will stay again next year.

Rates subject to change until unit booking is completed. The entire complex is designated No Smoking and this policy is strictly enforced, as is the rule about quiet hours. Guests may not bring pets. If booking is cancelled 60 days before arrival, deposit less processing fee of 5% is refunded. No refund if cancelled fewer than 60 days before arrival for holiday bookings or for bookings; that said, I do respond positively to family emergencies, if possible. Check in is 4PM; check out is 10AM for reservations made after August 1, 2017. The 11AM checkout applies to reservations made before 8/1/17.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
