*** Rent from OWNERS, not agencies who advertise on VRBO! There is an increasing number of listings on VRBO that are by agencies serving as intermediaries between owners and renters. Be aware of this when you book a cabin! By booking with owners like me, you get direct attention from the owner should any needs arise rather than staying on hold with a receptionist at a desk in charge of over 200 cabins. We treat our cabin like our second home because it IS a second home to us! We want your Smoky Mountain Vacation to be as special and as carefree as possible! ***

Cub Path Lodge is a luxurious 5 bedroom 5 bath cabin located in Black Bear Falls Resort in Gatlinburg, TN. The cabin offers the best possible location for a mountain vacation. Choices of activities are endless and range from hiking/exploring the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to venturing into Gatlinburg to experience its great shops and restaurants to heading to Pigeon Forge and enjoying its shopping, dining, and entertainment to spending a day (or more!) at Dollywood, a popular vacation destination.

About Paul Campbell

We live in the Knoxville TN area and spend a great deal of time in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park with our families.

Paul Campbell purchased this cabin in 2012

Why Paul Campbell chose Gatlinburg

What better way to spend even more time in one of the most beautiful places than to own a home and spend even more time there? This was our thinking when we purchased Cub Path Lodge. It offers the best of all worlds in that it is located in the beautiful Black Bear Falls Resort in Gatlinburg, TN, in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. In just minutes we are hiking in the park with our children. At the end of a long day exploring, we are conveniently located to the dining and entertainment in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge which is always a big hit with our family. When the day is all said and done we relax on one of our two porches with the beautiful mountain views. We feel very fortunate and look forward to sharing our experience with you.

What makes this cabin unique

The biggest benefit is that we have customized this home to fit the needs of our family, and it has been updated and modernized in many ways. The home truly serves as our second home and we want you to enjoy all of the same amenities that we do. The list of upgrades we have done to the home is very long, but just to name a few - high quality leather sofas in the upstairs living room and lower level recreation room (not the low end knockoffs), custom made log furniture in all 5 bedrooms, including a bunk bed and futon in the third level bedroom, new hardwood floors in the main living room and kitchen, beautiful granite kitchen counters, high quality stainless appliances, flat screen HDTV in all 5 bedrooms as well as the living room and rec rooms - we have spared no cost in upgrading and modernizing our home to fit our needs and desires and you get to enjoy the benefits when you vacation with us.

Very Nice Place to Accommodate a Big Group

  • 4 of 5

Nicely equipped property with five bedrooms and a bathroom in each room, which made it really convenient for our big group. Ample parking for 4 cars, which in some properties isn't the case. Beautiful view especially when the leaves are gone in late Fall or Winter. Clean and updated, which is a nice plus. Directions were easy to follow and there was a grocery store nearby!! We hope to return in the future!

Best Cabin I have ever rented

  • 5 of 5

This is one fine cabin. Good location to town, clean, up to date, nice amenities. Comfortable beds, great kitchen with granite countertops. You can easily see it has been well maintained and updated. I highly recommend it. We slept 13 comfortably and still had room for 4 or 5 more if you utilize the sofas and futon. We will be renting this every year.

Our Cabin was nice and clean. We had 12 people and there was plenty of space for everyone.

  • 4 of 5

Nice, quiet, and plenty of room for 12 people. It was close to town but private enough that we didn't feel like we were on top of the other cabins.

Family friendly

  • 5 of 5

My family enjoyed the cabin and the view. We were able to all eat meals together, the kids were able to play and there was room to have a quiet space if needed. The kitchen could use a few more utensils for cooking. The location was great, we could get to any entertainment we wanted to see or do. And we were able to park all 4 cars, some cabins don't have much parking space so we were lucky.

Fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for our vacation with 4 adult children. Plenty of space to spread out and owner responded quickly to question about WiFi. Also on our 2nd day of vacation I ended up in the hospital with broken leg/ankle bones for several days. We would have had to check out at 10:00a.m. the morning after I got back to the cabin from the hospital but after a quick exchange with the owner we added an extra night to our stay. Fantastic owner to deal with & we would love to stay here again.
