About Rosie Betsworth

Brick & I spent many years camping & fishing in Port Renfrew prior to moving here. The wholesome life style was a natural fit for us. Now 8 years later we have roots firmly planted in the community. I have sat as the president of the Port Renfrew Chamber of Commerce for the past 3 years. We have operated Choice Charters, our fishing charter business for approx. 15 years as well, with the last 10 years out of Port Renfrew.

When not running the home based businesses or the Chamber, I work part time for a developement company here in town.

Brick keeps very busy with the charter business and also commutes to YVR for his job as a pilot for Jazz Air Inc. We love our lives, we love each other. It just dosen't get any better than this.

Rosie Betsworth purchased this cabin in 2004

Why Rosie Betsworth chose Vancouver Island

Seclusion, quiet, relaxing, nature @ our door step. That sums it up.

What makes this cabin unique

Our log home suits the property. It's warm, welcoming and has amazing craftsmanship.

Whether relaxing on the large deck in the summer, smelling the fresh cut grass & watching the hundreds of humming birds vying for the feeders or curled up by the wood burning stove watching the rain come down, it's always a special moment.

1st time to fish the West side of the Island - Great fishing, Great place, Highly reccommend!

  • 5 of 5

A group of 3 of us just returned from Port Renfrew this spring and had a fantastic time. The Halibut fishing was great ( limit out each morning ), then salmon fishing ( even though it was early ) was great. I've fished the East side of the Island, but this may be where I go from now on. Quick trip up from Victoria to Port Renfrew, a quiet town with very friendly people. We were greeted by the owners Rosie and Brick with big smiles and fantastic personalities. Rosie could not have made us feel more welcome. The cabins are great, all you need for a cozy, relaxing time after fishing all day. Very comfortable, and clean. Rosie is welcoming and helpful, all questions answered and pointed us in right direction every time. Choice Charters fishing goes hand in hand with the rental if you are into fishing, great boat, great captain. We will return - no matter what.

Our area is famous for it's sports fishing. Large Halibut & Salmon are caught here daily. If you like crab, then this is the place to enjoy yummy Dungeness Crab.

This area is home to the West Coast Trail, Botanical Beach and Avatar Grove. We are surrounded with old growth trees, water falls, lakes and natural beauty. A mere 2 hour drive from Victoria puts you smack dab in the heart of the wild west coast.
