It’s Crescent Beach, where the pristine, white sand beaches are known to be the deepest, softest, tranquil and most beautiful along the Atlantic Coast. Stay at our OWNER-OPERATED, spacious, 1,750 square ft. luxury Sand Dollar condo, perched above Crescent Beach. See nothing but ocean waves out your window and from the balconies. Walk for miles gathering seashells. Feel the fresh ocean breezes. Breathe deeply and inhale those salty ocean scents. Hear the calming rhythm of the rolling ocean. We invite those who have a love affair with the ocean and its beaches to escape to our luxury condo.

You will spend hours making memories reconnecting with your family and nature, while luxuriating in the feel of silken sand beneath your feet as sights of dolphins, whales, sea turtles and birds fascinate young and old alike.

Just walk right in and instantly begin your vacation. Aside from food and personal toiletries, everything you need is here. We have cleaning supplies, paper goods and other supermarket items such as spices, etc.

Even beach chairs, mats, umbrella, noodles and a boogie board are provided for your beach pleasure.

Sand Dollar features wheelchair access, elevator, covered and uncovered parking, lighted tennis courts, swimming pools and social activities during winter months. We are always available to answer any of your questions about our home. Please call or e-mail.

The Kitchen

Great restaurants abound, but it’s good to know that our kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. If you love to cook and bake, this kitchen is for you. No problem fitting soup pots, roasting pans and cookie sheets into our 10 inch-deep designer sink.The entire kitchen is filled with excellent appliances, like a new 4-door stainless steel refrigerator and dishwasher. Our GE Profile Advantium microwave/convection oven cuts cookinging preparation time in half.There are even two complete sets of dishes and enough serving pieces for a banquet. Don't worry, your wine and martini glasses and other serious bar glasses await you as well.

Living/Dining Area

This spacious area is elegant but comfortable.There is a combination CD/radio player and dock for your listening pleasure. There is also a flat-screen TV. The living room reflects our interest in art and travel. A marble floor, crown moldings, and decorative baseboards provide crisp elegance, while the antique, oriental carpet suggests luxury, even while at the beach. You can enjoy your meals at the bar, on either balcony, or dine at the glass-topped table while gazing at the ocean, transporting you to the dining room of a grand ocean liner. Don’t get seasick!

Bedrooms

The master bedroom is carpeted, has crown moulding, a king-sized bed with a TempurPedic mattress and a flat-screen TV with On Demand and Showtime.There is also a Blue Ray DVD player.The master bedroom also has its own renovated and decorated bathroom with a shower/tub combo. The bathroom even has a safety bar in the tub! This master suite opens to a balcony perched above the beach, ocean and two pools. Because of its corner location, the condo offers unimpeded views from Flagler Beach all the way to St. Augustine! When retiring for the day, don’t forget to gaze onto the ocean to see the twinkling lights of the shrimp boats as they appear to meet the star-filled sky.

The second bedroom has two twin beds with TempurPedic mattresses, which can easily be moved together to make a comfy king. There is also a flat-screen TV. The crown moulding sets off the striking colors of the room. The adjacent bathroom has a large walk-in shower and is also renovated.

The third bedroom/den is equipped with a super-comfy,luxurious leather, queen-sized sofa bed with a TempurPedic mattress, as well as a flat-screen TV. This upper floor corner unit's unique feature is that this room opens onto an additional balcony facing the picturesque marshes of the intracoastal waterway and Fort Matanzas, just a 5 minute drive away. Wait until you sit here on a balmy evening, with drink or dessert in hand, watching the incredible sunsets. And during the day, view the daily parade of yachts, sailboats and small craft en route to crowded and noisy south Florida. This is a pleasure only afforded in a corner unit. A gift in itself!

If you can drag yourself away from this paradise, you’re just a short drive from historic downtown St. Augustine, the oldest city in the U.S. Just park your car and begin your stroll through the quaint, cobblestoned streets that lead you to charming shops, cafes and first class restaurants, intermingled with an abundance of historic sites and other tourist attractions. Complete your stroll with a walk along Matanzas Bay viewing the famous Castillo de San Marcos, the Bridge of Lions, and marinas.

Then head to the World Golf Village for its wonderful museum. Or plan to spend a day there for a round of golf as well. Another world-class golf course awaits you at Sawgrass in nearby Ponte Vedra. But even closer is the fine Marsh Creek Golf Club only 10 minutes away. We are also close to Daytona Beach and the Daytona Speedway and museum. Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World are less than a two hour drive, as is the Kennedy Space Center.

About Phyllis

We became a motor-homing family 38 years ago. Being a teacher, we headed to South Florida for every Christmas and Spring Break. After a few years of doing this, we decided to travel the beach road on our way back north. It was the first time we encountered Crescent Beach. So the following Spring, we saved some travel miles, and parked ourselves at Bryn Mawr Campground on St. Augustine Beach. That year we got to know the Ancient City and its beaches. We fell in love with it. One of those days, my birthday, it rained and rained. What to do. We decided to take a drive south to see what was down there. There in the midst of the pristine view stood 2 buildings and a 3rd under construction. With plenty of time to spare, we decided to check it out. From the 4th floor corner, of an unfinished apartment, we were able to see the unending view, the spaciousness as well as the sturdy, hurricane-safe construction. My husband asked,"How's this for a birthday present?" That was the beginning of our romance with this place.

While we worked and raised our family, we came here for 2 weeks in August and rented our place out for the winter months. During my first winter of retirement, we were shoveling snow when my husband halted and said,"Are we crazy? Don't we have a condo in Florida?" We checked & it was not rented. We packed up and headed to our condo on the beach!

We have become part of the St. Augustine community, spending September thru January here. Our friends and family come often to enjoy the quiet, comb the beach for seashells and visit the fun-filled town.

When we are not here, we travel the world, spend several months in California near our children, and go back to the Main Line of Philadelphia to visit our stuff and plant a garden.

My husband, a master handyman, has a passion for keeping the condo near- perfection. I am a multi-media artist. Our interests are surely reflected in our comfy home . Come be our guests in our beautiful condo in paradise.

Why Phyllis chose Florida North East

WHY RENT OUR PLACE? We are a CORNER UNIT which provides many benefits. 1. The light from the side windows looking down on the 2 pools suffuses our home with glorious light and sunshine.This is unavailable in an inside unit.

2. The view from our end unit stretches for miles in both directions, from Flagler Beach to St. Augustine. 3. Not one, but TWO PRIVATE BALCONIES, provided only on end units, allow you to enjoy the wrap-around view of the ocean and intracoastal waterway. 3. The sunsets from the intracoastal balcony are magnificent in their color, tone and configuration. Each evening provides an artistic adventure. Do not forget to take your camera out on the patio while you are having your sunset cocktail. 4. Watching the shore birds in the pond and the parade of yachts and water craft traveling the intracoastal provides hours of relaxed and contemplative viewing time.

Our home, for it is our home, has been lovingly furnished and maintained by me, an artist, and my husband, a collector and perfectionist. Just about all of the wall decor has either been purchased on world travels or been created by professional artists and myself, not the decorations from the furniture store. The furnishings are sophisticated but at the same time, very comfortable. You may be tempted to stay inside all the time, except for what awaits you outside.

We truly enjoyed the use of your home while at the beach two weeks ago. The view of the beach was spectacular, particularly the sunrises that God so faithfully provided every morning! It is such a beautiful and comfortable beach for early morning walks! Your beach home is so very nice and furnished and decorated so beautifully! We enjoyed viewing your family pictures, too. And we loved the convenience to everything! We surely did our best to leave it as we found it.

Very pleasant stay

This condo was great. Well kept unit that was tastefully decorated. Not all the "cheap" beach decorations of other units. This was more of a home. My wife actually thinks she wants out bathroom at home decorated like the master bath. Everything we needed was in this unit. The owners a great to work with and quick to get back with you on any problems. We only had one, seems the coffee pot had got broke and replacement pot wasn't the right one. Had one a brand new coffee maker and pot delivered while we were there. Just a small item but to me showed that owner cared about guest. This is a quiet complex. Kids enjoyed the pool. The beach wasn't crowded like I've seen others. There were people out but not so many you couldn't enjoy the beach yourself. I will definitely be checking back on this unit next time we come to the East Coast of Florida. Thanks for letting us enjoy your Condo. Jeremy and Denise

The most beautiful condo we have ever stayed in!

My family and I did not expect to walk into a condo as beautiful and luxurious as this one! The listing description was so accurate and I must say we were not disappointed! From the minute we arrived we were more than pleased with our rental choice! The condo is so modern and up to date with all of the amenities of home! The property was so clean and spotless and very well maintained! There is a TV in every room with cable and wifi! It was completely stocked with everything from the utensils, linens, towels, spices, and every appliance you can imagine! They also had everything we needed to take to the beach! We did not need to bring a thing which is especially great when you are flying and not driving! The owners, Phyllis and Lee are the nicest people, they were so helpful and accommodating and they were always accessible! We received a very helpful list of restaurants and activities close by and the best part is that everything was on the A1A highway where the condo is located, everything was so easy to get to and really convenient. The condo is located right on the beach and has a beautiful pool as well! The two balconies added that special touch allowing us to enjoy the ocean view that was right in front of us! We have never stayed in a condo as breathtaking as this one which made for an awesome vacation! I have never unpacked my suitcases on a vacation before but I did this time! We will definitely be back again and we couldn't wait to recommend this condo to our family and friends!

Sand Dollar Beach Front

This was absolutely a gorgeous 3 bedroom beach home. This beautiful beach front condo is spacious with front & rear corner balconies. The master bedroom adjoins the balcony with great views of the ocean. The accommodations were excellent & comfortable. We spent early sun rises on the balcony & found it so relaxing & comfortable listening to the ocean waves in the evening. There is nothing wanting or missing in this adorably loved home. Although we spent little time in the kitchen taking in the local cuisine, everything was provided for our convenience which of course included stainless steel appliances. We found the toaster oven quite useful for bring left overs back to life. We hope to comeback as often as possible over the coming years. I have visited the Crescent Beach area for many years and found this condo to be superior to all the rest. Thanks Phyllis for sharing with us.

Trip from Nashville to Anastasia Island / St. Augustine Could Not Have Been Better

My family has vacationed on Anastasia Island / St. Augustine since the 70s and this year was our first stay in Sand Dollar III unit 401. This trip was long overdue. We had lots to celebrate with 17 years of tuition finally coming to an end, a milestone birthday and 30 years of marriage. Needless to say, this trip had no margin for error when it came to accommodations. I am a clean freak and my wife wanted to stay in an updated condo with as much beauty inside as the beach and scenery outside. This unit was very clean and impeccably decorated. Sand Dollar III unit 401 did NOT disappoint. You can scroll through the unit’s amazing photos to appreciate what we enjoyed during our two weeks stay. Be forewarned, if you have small children or you are not a disciplined parent, you will end up spending your deposit to replace something little hands or roughhousing children broke. Luckily for us, we had two new college graduates with us that appreciated the furnishings. I would highly recommend this unit to vacationers that will appreciate the beauty. We would be honored to vacation here again. The ONLY thing I would change about this unit would be to install a larger TVs in the living area and upgrade the Comcast cable boxes to the new basic HD boxes you can now get for no additional charge. (This is one of those thing Comcast will not tell you is available unless you ask…. typical Comcast) There was a 32” TV in the living area and one in each of the bedrooms but only the master bedroom TV had and HD box on it with the maximum number of channels to view. Being from Nashville, we were enjoying watching the Preds in the NHL Stanley Cup Final and the NBA playoffs during the evenings but we had to split our group of 4 into two rooms to see the games.

Regarding the TVs, great minds think alike. When we get down there in September, our plan is to move the 42" bedroom TV to the bedroom/den and replace the bedroom TV with a large TV for the wall. Please come visit again and enjoy the new upgrades we plan to make this coming year.

Just like home

Our family recently spent a week in this lovely condo. It was comfortable, well-stocked and offered amazing views of the beach. Phyllis is a joy to work with and offered many ideas of things in the area to see and do. We couldn't have asked for more and look forward to renting again in the future.

Fabulous Vacation!

Everything about this condo was exquisite and even more beautiful than expected from the photos.

The oceanfront views (sunrise, east) and the waterway views (sunset, west) were spectacular from their respective balconies. Strolling along the beach each day was a favorite.... it was never crowded and lots of seashells to discover. And the St. Augustine Lighthouse is a treasure. The owners were so pleasant and helpful with everything from a list of good restaurants to making sure everything was taken care of. We,

most definitely, will be renting this unit again in the future.
