Great location near Mad River ski areas. Spacious, lovely and private home. Good for large groups.
Our group of seven stayed in the house on Pres Day weekend. The home is the perfect ski house for large groups in the Mad River Valley. About 15 min from both Sugarbush and Mad River ski areas. The home is beautiful, homey and comfortable. We loved all the artwork and interesting artifacts in the home. Tanya and Todd the owners were great to work with, very responsive and helpful. They left nice welcoming treats for us to enjoy - wine, beer cheese and crackers which we really appreciated and enjoyed. The beds were all comfortable. The 3 baths are modern, clean and big. The kitchen had everything we needed and very nice dishes, pots and glassware. We enjoyed the ping pong table in the basement. Everyone in our group said they would definitely stay there again. The home does have pets, so if you have strong pet allergies beware. I'm allergic to cats and dogs and my allergies were bad while staying there.
Wonderful Family Ski Weekend
What a wonderful home to return to for our yearly family ski weekend in Vermont. Plenty of room for the eight of us and baby grandchild. The home is spacious, clean and has beautiful décor.. The bedrooms are large and the mattresses very comfortable. There are three bathrooms which have beautifully tiled showers The kitchen is fully equipped which makes for easy meal preparations. We even made homemade bread to accompany our dinner. We enjoyed dinner at the large dining room table. The two living areas work well with a large group, as well as the finished basement with a workout area and ping pong table. Cannot say enough about this beautiful home with amazing views of Sugarbush, Mad River Glenn and Camel's Hump from the living room windows. We enjoyed skiing, shopping and walks down to the red barn to purchase honey and eggs. Too early for the maple syrup though. The owners are very accommodating and willing to answer any questions we had. We look forward to our stay again in the Fall and next winter! Thanks Tanya and Todd for sharing your home. Multi-Family Ski Weekend
I cannot recommend this property more enthusiastically. It was perfect for a ski weekendThe house is spacious, clean, and conveniently located to both Sugarbush, Mad River Glen, and Waitsfield's restaurants and shops. The mud room is fantastic and we had plenty of space to store our gear without worrying about getting the house dirty. We had three couples stay in the home comfortably. The layout allowed the couple with children to stay on one side with access to the kitchen while those of us without kids could sleep in and not be disturbed.
The owners were very communicative and welcoming, even leaving us a few treats upon our arrival! We fell in love with the house and the area and hope to be able to return again soon.
My only advice would be to make sure your car can handle driving in snow or mud, since the house is on a dirt road.
Family Wedding In Vermont
Three generations of my family traveled to VT to attend my nephew's wedding and had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful mountain retreat. We could not have chosen a more suitable home to rent for this special event. This home had something for everyone to enjoy--beautiful gardens, mountain views to die for, ping pong and dart board for "competitive fun" and lots of coffee and warm blankets were used while sitting on the porch enjoying the breathtaking sunrise in the morning.
The location was perfect for our needs also. Rehearsal dinner was held up on Mad River mountain (which we could see from the front porch) and the wedding was held at The Round Barn. Both of these venues were within minutes of this home as were grocery stores and gas stations. We also took in the local Farmers Market and Craft Fair in town!
The owners of this property were wonderful to work with when renting this property and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed to feel "at home". The coffee drinkers in my family were thrilled and surprised at the selection of K-cups available for consumption!
I would love to return to this beautiful home again if I ever have the opportunity/need to do so!!
Fantastic, best property we've stayed at so far
We had a lovely stay at this property over Feb school vacation week. The property was gorgeous and immaculate, best of all it was well laid out for a two-family vacation, with separate "wings" for each family. The property is spacious and we never even ventured into the basement area because the main floor had enough space for the EIGHT of us.
To add even more, Tanya & Todd were the best to work with -- easy going, accommodating, and friendly. This place is simply the best.
Would love to stay at this property again!
A very enjoyable ski trip for all.
Your home was perfect for our groups' annual ski trip. Perfectly accommodating 4 couples quite comfortably. Thanks again for your hospitality and the wine and cheese, a very warm welcome on a cold evening. The location is perfect for skiing on Sugarbush and hiking around Mad River. We are looking forward to visiting your home again next year and once again enjoying your gracious hospitality.
