Big Bear Cabin with SPA 2 Bedroom Very Cozy! + WIFI

Bedrooms 2
Space 960 sq. ft.
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 1 - 2 nights

About the property

2 bed, 1 bath, with HOT TUB and mountain views!

2 bed 1 bath with Hot Tub and covered patio. Granite counter tops, pine ceiling, slate floors, gas and charcoal BBQ on the back patio. If you want to feel like you are in a cabin not a track home then this is it. Wood burning stove, log style furniture, 40' flat screen, WIFI and Netflix for movies by the fireplace! This cabin is located on the back side of bear mountain so you are very close to either ski resort and the lake. Great shopping and restaurants in 'The Village' downtown. Winters are a blast for skiers and snowboarders, bear mountain has one of the best snowboard parks in the world! 3 half pipes, hundreds of rails, jumps, and jibs! The one thing I really like about snowboarding here is the weather is generally nice, its not freezing cold up here so you can dress light on most days. Bear Mountain's lodge has a live band every weekend I have ever been there.

Summers in Big bear you cannot beat! The average temp all summer is between 70-80 degrees! Lots of summer activities such as boating, fishing, hiking, mountain biking down bear mountain, car shows, horseback riding, off road adventures, and more! Big Bear is one of my favorite little mountain towns to visit and I am confident you will enjoy your time here. :)

About Richie

Hey everyone I'm Richie from Vegas! I bought this place back in 2002 because I love to snowboard! Since i purchased the property I have fully renovated it and turned it into exactly what I wanted out of a cabin! I have had lots of great times up here and hope you will enjoy my cabin as much as I do!

Richie purchased this cabin in 2002

Why Richie chose Sugarloaf

Super cozy Cabin, lakes, mountains, best snowboard park you are going to find anywhere! I personally love Big bear, Its a super relaxed town with everything you need to have a great time.

What makes this cabin unique

The best part of this place for me is the over all feel of it. The wood burning stove, pine ceilings, log handrails, log furniture! Relaxing in the spa while its snowing! You just cant beat it. I call it my full proof vacation! Its never fails me. I always come to Big Bear and always have a great time.

Quaint Cabin in Perfect Location for Fun!

  • 5 of 5

Place was clean and cute. Some of us went tubing while other group went snowboarding so cabin was in a nice location to get to both. Loved that there were a ton of blankets because us girls got cold easily. The spa was so much fun to enjoy in the snow and it was nice using BBQ to grill burgers. There weren't enough towels for six people, in the cabin, but we brought our own anyways. What an enjoyable experience we had! Thanks for letting us borrow your cabin!

Clean, comfortable, good location, no details/updates from owner prior to arriving (SPA not working)

  • 2 of 5

The location was perfect and the place was very comfortable. The place was also very clean and everything that we needed was pretty easy to find. There were a couple of down sides, to start with the hand soap in the bathroom was low and ran out by the end of the night on our first night and there was no backup or re-filler anywhere to be found. The fire place had also not be cleaned out from the last time and was completely packed with ash that needed to be emptied before even using it. The ash container was also full and barely had room for the ash that needed to be emptied. The fire place did work great but it would have been nice not to have to have cleaned it out or worry about overfilling the ash bin.

Another major downside was that he spa was not working and the water was barely room temperature. One of the major reasons we selected this cabin was because it had a spa and would have been very nice to use after a long day of skiing. We tried to contact the owner to find out what the situation was with the spa and if we might be doing something wrong. I called and left a voicemail (my phone had bad reception so the voicemail didn't get through clearly) and also sent an email and didn't get a response back from the owner until the day after we left. Turns out the spa had been not working for the past week and supposedly a technician hadn't had a chance to get out to fix it. Seeing that it wasn't working up to a week prior to our arrival it would have been nice to have been informed by the property owner especially since it's the major selling point of the cabin.

I would recommend to the next visitors to contact the property owner to ensure that the spa is working BEFORE booking if the next visitors are really interesting in using it.

Owner's Response: The soap refil is under the kitchen sink, the spa broke days before your stay and all I can say is sorry, didnt plan on that happening. It is back up and running now.

Big Bear has 2 awesome ski resorts, its a cool little mountain town that is very quiet during the week and filled with vacationers on the weekends. There is 'the village' in the middle of town that has lots of great shopping, food, and even a movie theater! Big Bear is a great place is you want to visit a small mountain town with great skying. O we also have a snow sled area right by the cabin! :)
