Built in 1910 our home sits on a level 1/2 acre lot facing Lafayette and Cannon Mountains with beautiful sunsets and fabulous mountain view.
Just minutes from Rt. 93 , the whole house has been fully remodeled and tastefully furnished in the last year and is ready for you to build lasting memories for up to 8 people. There are 4 bedrooms, two featuring queen beds, 2 full bathrooms, a well appointed eat-in kitchen and a formal dining room, living room with brand new wood stove and 50" flat screen and a quiet private library/TV/game room with its own Rinnai heater and 48" TV.
The master bedroom features a large 4 poster queen bed with a new memory foam mattress and large walk-in closet and quiet reading area. The Lafayette bedroom also features a queen, large closet and 40" TV. Between the two is a newly remodeled full bath with tub and shower. Rounding out the upstairs is a quaint twin built in bedroom and a full size bedroom with walk-in closet featuring a twin over full bunk-bed, perfect for the kids!
There is a new bathroom on the first floor with a walk-in corner shower, a large mud-room to store all of your gear and a full, dry and heated well-lit basement with a full laundry and tons of storage.
In addition, there is a large barn on the property with space for 2 cars, a dry enclosed wood shed and parking for 4 more cars. There is also a quiet deck off the back of the house and a fire pit for those wonderful star-lit nights the north-country is famous for.
Other Features: Being a former restaurant manager, I have fully stocked the kitchen with just about any tool you would need to prepare a quick meal or a full-course dinner. And yes, the knives are sharp, the pans plentiful, and we have enough cocktail and beer glasses to start a small pub. The dining room easily seats 8 and there are several side tables and extra chairs to accommodate new friends.
The deck and yard: As the house was built in 1910 the builders had enough time to pick the very best location to take advantage of not only the views but also the warming rays of the sun. We regularly eat breakfast and dinner out on the deck until December. Because of the Alpine climate the air is clean, the mosquitoes scarce and the night sky views incredible as there are no streetlights.
We've even built a large fire pit where you can make s'mores, sing songs and talk the night away and all the wood is provided.
