Short Stay at Ocean Point
Nice property to relax for a handful of nights. It seems like every view has an ocean view. Loved the balcony view of the ocean, or the black star filled sky from our 2nd floor unit. Saltwater pool was large and perfect for children and adults alike. We also enjoyed the tennis courts. The beach access, though filled with nasty seaweed, once you get past that, was a convenient entry to the mangroves for excellent snorkeling.
Did not like that there was pressure washing going on at the stairwell during which we were trying to check out. This made it more difficult to get out by the 11 am deadline as we were forced to wait for the elevator each trip down.
Would stay there again.
Conveniently located just past Key Largo, was clean and served us well as a home base for a few days. We liked the water view from our room. Our kids enjoyed the pool at night after days outand it's nice that it's open until 11pm.
Hi Scott, Thank you for sharing you experience with us. We welcome you back anytime!
Backbone to Resolve
We recently booked a trip to Key West with iTrip through VRBO (Home and Away)I added an extra night to our original reservation and communication on VRBO and email exchange all showed correct information. However, when I got to our destination at 11:20pm no reservation was showing with front desk staff. The emergency # for iTrip was not immediately answered after 11pm. I used the messaging with VRBO and the rep offered us another site 45 minutes away. The front desk has a room available so I paid out of pocket so we could just get to bed and decided to deal with the reservation the next day when I could reach an iTrip representative.
I was pleased the next day when iTrip responded to my late night email by calling. They reimbursed me for the out of pocket extra night and retained the remainder of my booking. Evidently while iTrip had blocked the wrong month at the resort though our correspondence showed the correct month. I would consider using iTrip again due to how they handled the issue. Thank you for responding appropriately to our issues.
Hi Jean, we appreciate the great review and are so glad you enjoyed your stay. As you know our business's backbone is built on reviews from customers like you telling us what we did well, and what we can improve on. We are pleased that all was resolved quickly. We welcome you back anytime and hope you will return to stay with us again soon!
The staff at the guest relations desk were extremely nice.
Unit 2310 met all of our needs. The only complaint was the floors were very dirty. Bottom of all our feet were black from walking on the floors. Resort was only a short distance off of U.S. 1.
Hi Karen, thank you so much for that fantastic review! We are so pleased to hear that you have enjoyed yourself in our property. We have notified the on-site management team and are working to remedy the cleanings. We hope you get the chance to book with us next year!
We had an awesome time at Ocean Pointe. The grounds were beautiful. All of the staff and workers were helpful and friendly. The pool area was large, had great music, and even had snacks/drinks available. The beach area was also very nice. Our two bedroom condo was just the right size for two couples. The balcony was exceptionally small, however this wasn't a big issue as we spent the majority of our time outdoors. I would certainly come back and recommend this place to others.
Hi Laura, thank you so much for that fantastic review! We are so pleased to hear that you have enjoyed yourself in our property. We hope you get the chance to book with us next year!

Key Largo, called "the first of the Florida Keys," because of its northernmost location along the Florida Keys chain, is an hour's drive from Miami International airport. Yet it is a world away. Home to a national marine sanctuary, John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, Key Largo boasts some of the most fascinating diving/snorkeling adventures in Florida. A host of eco-tourism and dive-snorkel services are ready to help you discover the natural wonders of Key Largo. If you like to go fishing, be sure to reserve your charter boat and enjoy the sport fishing experience of a life time with the best charter captains and fishing guides in the world. You can go after sailfish offshore, bonefish along the Atlantic shallows, or redfish and tarpon in the Florida Bay. After a day of great fishing, you can visit some of the many family-owned restaurants that will serve you the day’s fresh catch or prepare your own! And don’t forget to try the key lime pie, which is a Key specialty. Islamorada is only 15 miles off Key Largo and it is home to the Theater of the Sea where you can swim with the dolphins. It is also home to the world famous Tiki Bar serving up frozen drink such as Piña Coladas, Rum Runners or my personal favorite, a Miami Vice. There are also several other local bars and restaurants, often featuring live bands to help you wind down after a day of fun in the South Florida sun. Whether sinking your feet in the sand, snorkeling, kayaking, fishing, dining, shopping or sight-seeing, Key Largo and Islamorada have enough to keep any visitor in awe from beginning to end. Staying a week, a month or more? You’re always a local when you’re in Key Largo. Come visit your home away from home.
