An Amazing Christmas Destination

  • 5 of 5

We had a big family Christmas gathering at Wildflower Cabin 1. There were 13 of us, and the cabin accommodate us all very comfortably. It was spacious, updated, clean, and well kept. Jeannette was a great host, and everything was in order. I would highly recommend this property for any large family gathering.

Changing leaves and waterfalls, it doesn't get much better than this.

  • 5 of 5

Three families rented this beautiful cabin, and there was plenty of room. This has been one of the nicest places we have stayed. The changing leaves were perfect, short drives to waterfalls, food, and shopping. Also spent an afternoon at the National Park. Hope to be back soon.

The house was amazing. The driveway was sexy if your a motorcycle rider. It's a 10 minute mini tail of the dragon. Millennials need their internet. Wifi did not work in the house. We will be back next year.

Amazing place for a long awaited family reunion!

  • 5 of 5

My parents wanted to spend their 57th anniversary with our family. My parents live in Franklin, NC and my family is in Asheville, but the rest of the family lives in Wisconsin. With teenagers, kids in college, and a young family with a toddler, it's hard for everyone to get together like we did years ago at my parents' cottage in Northern Wisconsin. We found the perfect place with Wildflower Cabin 1! With 3 floors and the open layout, we had plenty of space for 12 of us and our 4-legged family members. The "cabin" is absolutely beautiful! The kitchen has every size pot and pan that you need, along with slow cookers, 2 coffee pots, storage containers, etc. The teenagers loved the pool table and hot tub in the lower level. The gas fireplace that looks like a wood burning fireplace was perfect for chilly mornings. Washer/dryer came in very handy. We loved being able to open the french doors on the upper deck and let the fresh air in. The dining room has a long wood table that we used for meals and games. We grilled most of our meals on the gas grill. We had the unexpected surprise of being able to use the outdoor community pool. Great trails to hike all around the wooded community. There is a lookout area with the most amazing views on the way to the cabins. Jeanette was so easy to work with and took care of all our needs. Cell service was not the best but we found texting worked. And we weren't there to spend our time on phones. The last night we had all 12 of us around the fire pit for a memorable night before everyone had to start on their long drive home. My nephew had suggested finding a place large enough for all of us, including my local parents, so we could all be together like years past. This place fit the bill and then some! We are looking at renting 2 of the cabins next year as our clan grows!

Placement of bedrooms makes house Too noisy!!!

  • 2 of 5

With six children under 11...The noise level was ridiculous due to no isolation.. had kids rooms been on bottom level it would have alleviated most of the noise!!! For this reason we will not rent this place again. The view of mountains ls very limited due to overgrowth! Deck is small. Pool was awesome because we had it all too ourselves!!
