Hamilton house is a classic Philadelphian 3 story semi-detached row home, with 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a beautifully unique eat-in kitchen, relaxing court yard, and roof deck with skyline views. Walk to the Parkway, Rittenhouse Square, anywhere in center city, and the downtown shopping/restaurant and historic districts. You're central to anything and everything.
This a classic Philly 3 story semi-detached row home on the corner of Kater St. and 21st (Kater is the half block between South St and Bainbridge). It's whats called a "shotgun" in that it's straight through from the front door, through the living room and kitchen to the back door that leads out to a brick courtyard garden with a seasonal fountain, seating, AND grill. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. One BR and bath on the 2nd floor (King Bed), and two BR's and Bath on the 3rd floor with Queen and double beds. The third floor also has access a large roof deck that has built in seating and tables and a spectacular view of the downtown skyline.
This is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in center city. It used to be referred to as the Graduate Hospital area, but now is called the Penn Rittenhouse area. There are a wide variety of restaurants, coffee shops and bars within a 3 block radius of the house including Italian and Thai. It is also a 5 block walk to Rittenhouse Square and the downtown shopping district and when you want to explore other parts of the city, cab/uber rides are on average about $5 - $8 to the Museums on the Parkway and the historic areas in Old City. Parking can be an issue, but there are several inexpensive options within a short walk. This should not be a concern of yours.
Guests have access to the entire house except for the basement, which I use for storage. Access also includes the relaxing rear courtyard (with grill), and the roof deck.
Interaction with guests:
We're available to meet with guests any time they'd like. We love providing local recommendations and things to do. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch
Walking distance to just about everything the city has to offer. Additionally, you can get public transit one block away, and we are a 10 minutes from Amtrac (30th street train station) and 20 minutes from the Philadelphia Int'l Airport. As I mentioned, cabs/ubers are readily available and very affordable.
Other things to note:
The house has classic Colonial Philadelphia circular staircases, so if you have a disability or have trouble with stairs in general this house may not be for you. The roof deck access is a bit challenging as well, but well worth the climb.
