Quaint well appointed in a great location
We loved our accommodations and the owner was helpful from booking, event planning and check out. All the essentials (from linens and toiletries to coffee and creamer) The location made navigating NOLA easy.
Great space, Great location, Great value
Our experience began before we even arrived. Kay kept in constant communication and gave recommendations for us since we would be arriving late in the evening. After driving 15 hours it was great pulling up to the house, parking right in front, and having it lit up outside. Entry was a breeze and we didn't have to deal with keys or anything. The first thing I noticed when we walked inside was that it smelled good and it was clean. We walked through checking out the house and Kay has everything labeled so you know where to find things. The small details like leaving an umbrella for us to use, was very thoughtful. There was coffee and oatmeal and condiments in the kitchen to use. If you have children, there is even some toys in the closet and also pet food bowls. The bedrooms and linens were clean and pillows were comfortable. Each bedroom has a full sized bed, the same size you would find in a hotel room. The bed was on par with most hotels. The back yard was accessed through the second bedroom. The yard is shared with the other side of the duplex. The yard is fenced and very secure. Kay created a very cute sitting area with a couple chairs and small table under a canopy for those who smoke. The icing on our experience was the location! We were able to walk 2 blocks and catch the St Charles streetcar that took us right into town. We were walking distance to several restaurants and bars and Walgreens. The Garden district is a very cool place to hang out. You cannot beat the value for the everything you get and location!
We stay for 3 nights. Kay has a lot stuff in the house to help with a quick breakfast, she has water, sugar, coffee, she has umbrellas, maps, brochures, she was very helpful with directions too. The house is in a very save neighborhood, 2 blocks from the street car witch cost ($1.25 per person each way), is easier to go to the main town by street car.
We loved it, recommended 100%.
Convenient and Has Everything You Need
The home may be a bit older, but Kay does a great job of stocking the house with things like diapers, feminine products, lighters, sunscreen, anything you might need while away from home. She is very helpful and responsive I had a great experience working with her. We actually have 6 people staying here, and surprisingly it wasn't too bad as far as space goes. We were so close to the garden district we could walk there and enjoy ourselves. It is a duplex so you will share the other side with other visitors, but it was nice to meet new people and chat with them in the backyard. If you don't like meeting new people, no worries, don't use the backyard. Other than that we hardly knew they were there. Overall great experience! Very affordable and met all our needs.
Everything was as expected. Very easy to access and right in the middle of New Orleans. We had everything we needed!! Was a great stay!
