About Liz Stewart
I'm a native who returned home after 20 years. I love the area and the growing art community.
Liz Stewart purchased this Apartment in 2001
Why Liz Stewart chose Silver City
I love design and actually studied Achitecture very briefly so when I found this wonderful brick structure for sale I bought it. The high ceilings, large windows, original maple and oak floors and open space made it the perfect building to make my home. it sits on a small hill and the location of the building on the hill make it very private with views of the area mountains and the lights of Silver City at night.
What makes this Apartment unique
I think the views, the quiet serenity make this a very appealling spot to spend some time. The property is easy walking distance to downtown and the university although the walk back up the hiilly streets makes for a good workout. There are lots of day trips one can make from Silver City and there are fairly easy hiking trails just down the road from Church House. A day trip exploring the City of Rocks which exist because of long ago volcanic action is a must and then a relaxing soak at the nearby Faywood Hot Springs the perfect ending to the day. There are a couple of small fishing lakes in the area, lots of railroad and mining history and wonderful Victorian Architecture to view. Two area museums, one at the university and one downtown give you two looks into our history. WNMU's museum has one of the best Mimbreno Pottery collections in the world. The gift shop at the downtown museum is a treasure trove of Silver City history.

Thanks for staying again. Thanks for enjoying and competing in the Tour of the Gila. Give Dakota a pat on the head for me.
Large, lovely space
We had a great stay. Silver City is awesome. Our dog was made to feel welcome. Super clean open space. Nice deep tub. Classy furniture.
Hey, thanks for staying with me. Give Cayenne a pat on the head for me?
Peaceful, View, Artful
The place is awesome, lots of place to store everything, well equip kitchen
close to hiking trails, Gila National Forest. Liz is an excellent host, check up if we needed something a few times. Would certainly return if we are back in the area.
Thanks so much for staying at the Church House. So glad you enjoyed your stay.
Wonderful house, great location
For five weeks in early 2018, my wife and I based our busy exploring at the lovely Church House. Perched on a hill a short walk from Boston Hill, Western New Mexico U., and downtown, it is lovingly equipped with Stickley style furniture in the living room, a huge TV, comfy lounge chairs and ottomans (and another TV, if you need) in the bedroom. Large tile shower and soaking tub anchor the spacious master bath. Kitchen is perfectly adequate, though the electric range took a bit of adjustment. Wi-fi is available, but signal is spotty if you're not seated along the east wall. Liz loves art, and has shared her collection with guests. Like staying in a gallery! Thanks, Liz, for sharing your little slice of Silver with a couple of rain-drenched Oregonians.
comfortable property, lovely place to stay
Great views of the sunrise from the living room, this is a very comfortable place to stay for a couple.
Very comfortable stay in a lovely setting.
I very much enjoyed our stay in Liz Stewart's vacation rental. It was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. We had everything I needed and enjoyed very much the privacy she provided and the quiet surroundings. It was very peaceful and had a spectacular view. My dog Zumi and I were both very pleased and Liz was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. I would stay there again and can highly recommend this rental. Thank you Liz, very much for your hospitality.
