Our second one-month-stay at this beautiful, clean and quiet condo is perfect. Yina and Sandra were extremely accommodating and helpful. We are looking forward to comeback next year.
The condo was wonderful. Yina and Sandra were both helpful and accommodating. Beautiful pool too. Serene and peaceful.
Our one month stay at the condo is wonderful, relax, comfortable and perfect. The condo is spacious, beautiful, clean with deluxe amenities as advertised. The beach and sky view from the large balcony is priceless with nice and cool ocean breeze. We spent hours in the balcony on the deluxe beach chairs to read, nap or star gazing. Perfect star gazing of the southern sky from the balcony; full moon is speechless. The beach is nice, warm and calm water. The weather is perfect during our stay. We use waffle maker, rice cooker, ceramic baking dish and blender daily to make our meal.
The resort is huge, beautiful, well maintenance. We enjoyed our daily morning walks within the resort. The condo manager, is very friendly who provides valuable tips and local events info upon inquiring. We are looking forward to come back next year.
Below are tips for a long stay without a car:
- grocery shopping at El Nacional supermarket near the PUJ airport before getting to the condo. The taxi cost from the airport to the condo with a stop at the supermarket El Nacional is 40.00.
- within the resort, for a 6.00 round trip taxi to Las Canas small grocery market. It does have deli meat, fresh produce and fruits, ice cream, frozen meat and fish. To me, the price is the same as in US.
- 5 minutes walk from the condo, the Il Cappucino mini market has basic items like water, soda, milk, bread, limited grocery and household items. The price is about 10% - 25% more than Las Canas depends on the items.
- we get fresh caught fish from Mike's Marina Fishing Charters SRL; Cap Cana Marina Piers C#28 and C#29; check http://www.mikesmarina.info/ for contact info to get the boat schedule. The crew will clean and fillet the fish. We can see the boats from the second bedroom with binoculars.
- Bring plenty 1, 5 bills for taxi or tips.
Note: stay 30 days/29 nights or more resulting paying tourist fee at the airport upon departure. We did not know, pay 62.00 pp.
We booked this condo 3/23-30/2015- best week of our lives! The pictures truly do not do justice to the beauty of this complex. Sandra the manager was so professional and helpful to us! She picked us up after our taxi driver dropped off us at the wrong location, drove me to get groceries & when my credit card didn't work - almost paid for them! The condo is HUge ( we have 3 girls- 16,14,&10) 2 1/2 baths and 2 large bedrooms were more than enough room. The kitchen had everything you need and the living room was very spacious plus disney channel! The balcony was spacious and a perfect relaxing view of the ocean. We felt so comfortable & relaxed here. If there were 10 people at the pool each day, that would be it! We kept asking why aren't more people here, this place is awesome! We have done all inclusives (Beaches, Apple vacations , & cruises) and this was by far our favorite place. We rented a golf cart across the marina from our building and drove to Eden Roc and another beach in Cap cana. It was fun and so easy. There are 4-5 different restaurants around the marina. They are never full and amazing food. Don't expect many servers to know English, but they are extremely helpful & work to do their best. The beach restaurant steps from the condo had great burgers and margaritas. Even our fussy & moody 16 yo loved it! She missed the all you can eat buffet the 1st day, but after that she was good to go. I can't day enough good things about this place and we travel every year for spring break since our girls were little. We will be back again soon!
We stayed here for two weeks in January. The photos do not do it justice. The place is fantastic. The condo is huge with a large balcony overlooking the pools and the ocean. It's a second floor unit that really adds to the view. It is fully appointed with quality furnishings. Only 20 minutes from the airport. We were a party of two couples and we all had privacy if we wished. The complex was not crowded. The folks staying there were older and it was quiet. If your going to the DR to party this would not be the place. There are a few restaurants and a deli within walking distance. I would recommend a car. We'll be back
This is a beautiful and absolutely massive resort area that is very isolated from the main resorts in Punta Cana. We liked how isolated it was because we wanted a quiet, no frills week to simply relax with our two small children. This place is in the Aquamarina part of Cap Cana, which has very nice (man made) beaches a hundred yards or so from the condos, plus two very nice large pools. There are 2-3 restaurants that are okay, good enough for most people. There's a bank, a small convenience store, and a lobby area in one building where most questions are easily answered by English-speaking staff. Taxis charge only $2 for rides within Cap Cana, so you can visit spectacular Juanillo beach and other pool areas within Cap Cana very easily. Also on the plus side (for us), the resort was not crowded. On the minus side, if you don't plan on renting a car, and want to see and do a lot on your own, this area is not for you (however you can always book tours and activities that include transportation). Taxi rides outside of the resort lasting 15 minutes or so can cost $30 due to the price of gasoline. Unless you plan to eat out for every meal, you need to go to the supermarket upon arrival to buy what you need, and you end up buying more than you need because the taxi rides are so expensive (but still cheaper than eating out). Also on the minus side for some, there is not much to do within the resort. There is no hum of activity. But for us this was a plus and not a minus. If you want peace and quiet, this is the place. We were very happy, but I could see how some might be bored if looking for excitement.
As far as the condo goes, it was very nice. The bedrooms are large, the place feels new and clean, and the kitchen is to American standards. The balcony was a great place to watch the sunrise. The air conditioning works very well. Nice bathrooms. You can easily accommodate 6 people here, and maybe 7 or 8 if a couple were toddlers. The cable TV has some English speaking channels. My only issue with the place was the wi-fi. Because the building is so well made, the walls are concrete and cinder block, which results in poor connections in the condo everywhere except the main living area. Another plus was that there is Internet phone service with a US number, so you can make and take calls at no cost. The owner was just a phone call or an email away, was very friendly and helpful, and this was important for us. I'd stay here again.
