Why Paula Reynolds chose Kyle
I love the Glenshiel/Loch Duich area and have been holidaying there regularly for the past 29 years. When I first saw Saraig standing just a few yards from the water's edge in breath-taking surrounds, I fell in love with it even before I ventured inside. Once inside I made up my mind there and then to buy it. It is a property with bags of character, a very homely atmosphere, and incredible views.
What makes this Cottage unique
Saraig ticks so many boxes for the holiday-maker; it's in a remote, peaceful location yet not far from the town of Kyle: it's in an area of 22 Munro mountains and countless walks covering all degrees of difficulty: it's sea-lochside, yards from the beach (not a sandy one): it's on the edge of a forest with lots of trails for the mountain biker: it's great for wildlife enthusiasts: it has breath-taking views. Last but not least, it is close to Skye, Plockton, Glenelg, Applecross, Loch Ness and other places too numerous to mention. As mentioned in the description, it is also perfect for small weddings!

Wonderful house, stunning location
We had the most wonderful , comfortable stay in this cottage which was immaculate, cosy and comfortable and has everything you need . The comfy beds / bedrooms are charming with stunning views of the loch. We did many trips to Skye and coming back to the cottage was so pleasing . Paula is responsive and very helpful . We recommend pony trekking (very close by ) with the brilliant Sarah and the gorgeous, well behaved ponies! Don’t think twice about booking this cottage , you won’t be disappointed .
Beautiful area in the Highlands with many nearby hiking trails and short drive to amazing Isle of Skye and other lovely sites. Owner was very friendly and accessible. Abundant wildlife that was so fun to watch! Great vacation!
Great cottage in a beautiful location
Saraig was a perfect place for our family to spend a week in the beautiful Scottish Highlands. The house was very clean and spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was wonderful! Beautiful veiws of the lake and mountains and close to so many places we wanted to see on our trip. We travelled with 3 kids and there was so much for them to explore in the nearby area and they loved spotting otters and porpoises in the lake. I definitely recommend Saraig if you are looking for a great place in the Highlands.
Had great holiday in a very beautiful area.
The weather was excellent- saw otters, seals, eagles, badgers, pine martens plus lots or smaller birds.
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review and I'm so pleased you liked the cottage and had such a good time. The wildlife around Saraig is truly wonderful isn't it? I do hope I hear from you again in the future. Best wishes, Paula

We stayed at Saraig for a week in April and absolutely loved the property and location. So peaceful with amazing views. We were lucky to have sun and snow!

The stunningEilean Donan Castle is 9 miles away, used as a location for many films - well worth a visit. The Iron Age brochs of Glenelg are fascinating and are set in a delightful little glen with a pretty burn and impressive waterfall. Various boat trips are available - glass-bottomed, seal spotting, whale-watching, etc. There are also gardens to visit, waterfalls to marvel at and last, but not least, countless walks from Munro bagging to strolling along the lochside.
