Perfect cabin in the woods

  • 5 of 5

We loved being up in the mountains, surrounded by trees. Easy access to Bryson city, Cherokee, and the national park. An hour and 20 minute drive to Asheville and Gatlinburg.

Extremely Satisfied

  • 5 of 5

The Cabin was very clean, the hot tub was clean. The road getting up to the cabin wasn't anything like what I thought it would be after reading the reviews. We have a 4 Runner and no trouble getting up the road in the rain without 4 wheel drive. I would stay here again

If It Weren't for the Ambiance

  • 2 of 5

....... we would have left after night one. This is a cute little cabin at almost the top of a mountain. However, the master mattress is past its usefulness and the pad on it does not fit the entire mattress. The worst though: living room furniture is so uncomfortable that we spent our evenings sitting on the wood benches at the dining table. Didn't use the hot tub as the cinder blocks used for stairs were moss covered. Several lights not functioning, heat worked after we bought and changed the blocked filter. Deck needs attention. (beginning to sag and rot in spots). Outside furniture moldy. To top it off, all of the media equipment is extremely outdated and does not work properly either. None of the door locks function properly. In all, the house needs attention and maintenance.

This is a great place if you want peace and quiet while still being close to town. The road is narrowing and winding up to the cabin so wouldn't recommend really large vehicle. Luckily we were on a Jeep and had no trouble. Cabin was beautiful and clean. Would definitely stay again. Also had a great experience communicating with VRBO on our reservations.
