Why On line booking at finnichcottages.com chose Stirling
Finnich Malise Estate had been little cared for for many years and presented a major and exciting challenge to us when we bought it. First priority was to repair and re-decorate the beautiful Georgian house and then to start recovering the parkland with its 200 year old trees. A separate project was to completely re build the derelict 19th century Steading buildings and convert them into 4 holiday cottages. The projects continue with the recent planting of 9 ha of mixed Scottish woodland.
What makes this Cottage unique
The uniqueness of the Finnich Malise estate which was evident to us when we first saw it, was its location. Close enough to Glasgow and Stirling but positioned in its own 200 acres of grounds to give total peace and tranquillity, with stunning views to the western North over the National Park and with easy access to Loch Lomond , 5 miles away.

Attractive cottage in lovely surroundings and with wonderful views
We enjoyed our stay very much. The cottage was very clean, comfortable and spacious and the outside sitting area most attractive and private. Just what we hoped for! The location is superb, right in the heart of the countryside with fabulous views.
Thank you very much for your nice review. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with us
Could not have asked for better!
Echo most of the other reviews. We stayed 3 nights in Oak and loved both the apartment and surroundings. Perfect!
Thank you very much for your nice review. We are very glad that you enjoyed your stay in our cottage .
Hope to see you sometimes soon
had a really great time would have like to stay longer, the cottage was fab and would recommend this property to anybody
Excellent standard and full of character.
We had a fantastic stay for 4 nights in Oak Cottage. The cottage itself was beautifully furnished and equipped, and there was a folder of useful local information that proved lifesaving!
We had 3 under 5s with us who were also catered for well. They very much enjoyed the mini cottage and sand pit, as well as the swing and shoot.
Although the weather was typically scottish, there was plenty to do nearby- a 'fairy trail' was a great hit with the kids, and for a rural location amenities are surprisingly close-by.
The cottages were in almost immaculate condition, and the housekeeper (Mira) was incredibly accommodating and friendly.
I'd highly recommend a stay for anyone looking for a peaceful family holiday.
Thank you very much for your extremely nice review. We are delignted that you all enjoyed your stay at Finnich Cottages so much .
Finnich Malaise is such a special place
We have just returned from spending a week in lovely Oak Cottage. The cottage is very well equipped with comfortable beds and super cosy duvets. The owners have lovingly restored the steading and do everything they can to ensure that your have everything you need while you are with them.
We ate in different restaurants in different towns each day, Stirling, Luss, Lomond Shores, Glasgow all a short, scenic drive away. However we were glad to get back in the afternoon to the peace and special atmosphere of Finnich. Lots of interesting walks and wildlife and stunning, snow capped mountains. We can't wait to return in the autumn. E and A Paterson and Beanie the dog
Dear Mr and Mrs Paterson,
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are so happy that you enjoyed your visit at Finnich Cottages and are looking forwards to welcoming you and your lovely little Dachsi in the near future.
What Stunning Views
My husband and I stayed here with our 21 year old daughter. We were overawed by the stunning scenery. My husband couldn't wait to get his walking boots on. We loved Oak Cottage and its immediate surroundings. We had lovely days out in Glasgow and Edinburgh and a trip across Loch Lomond to the picturesque village of Luss. As it was June all the flowers were in bloom and were so colourful. We also went to the Bird's of Prey centre at Balloch and had a lovely evening meal at the Oak Tree Inn at Balmaha. We enjoyed the games room immensely and played many a game of table tennis of an evening. We would like to thank our host for all her hard work making the cottage so comfortable and also for the bottle of wine.
Thank you very much for your lovely review, we are so happy that you enjoyed your stay so much and hope that you will come again sometimes in the near future.
