Wonderful house. PERFECT location, with beautiful views of the water!

  • 5 of 5

We can't say enough good things about our stay in this beautiful home. My father took over the third floor and loved relaxing and enjoying the water views. We also took advantage of the short walk to the Oyster Farm Eatery for dinner two nights of our stay. We loved the sunset views of the water while we ate delicious food! The booking process was easy, and Tod and Elaine were extremely responsive and pleasant throughout the entire process. I highly recommend this home to travelers. It made our first visit to the charming town of Cape Charles a wonderful experience and we can't wait to go back!

Sunsets, Sunrises, Martini's, Yellow Dog.......Heaven

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for letting us stay in your home in Cape Charles. We had a wonderful, relaxing time, the house was perfect and we loved the location. Being able to bring our dog -- Odie --was a big deal for us. He got to take his first steps into the Bay and he clearly was in his element. The location was perfect for walking on the beaches or in the neighborhood. Also, so easy to go to The Oyster Bar for drinks & dinner when you're not up for the 5 minute car ride to town. This is our first trip to Cape Charles. We were surprised it had so many very interesting parts: historic homes, a resort, wonderful restaurants, lovely small walking town, and of course the beautiful Bay. Also, such friendly people. We went out on a sunset cruise and I have never seen so many dolphins in my life! Literally hundreds. We were there for the eclipse which we watched from the top of your home. How's that for a memory?!

Thank you again! It was a great vacation.

Great place!

  • 5 of 5

Great place! Our family had a great time staying here. Clean, spacious, relaxing environment. View from the deck was great as well. Walking distance to marina restaurant and private beach and easy access of less than a mile or so to public beach, boat ramp, and downtown Cape Charles. Great place to vacation on the Eastern Shore.

Beautiful House and great location

  • 5 of 5

We were 2 families and a couple of dogs vacationing together. The house and location was just perfect. We walked in to the house and were just shocked at how nice it was. Everything you could ever need was there and it was all great quality. Before and during the vacation the homeowners were very responsive and helpful. You are in a gated location and it is very quiet and safe for kids. The dogs loved the ability to get outside and run around in the gated yard or we could just walk them across the street with them and they had a beach to run on or could swim in the ocean.

Cape Charles is not large but if you are looking for a friendly place to go and relax then it is perfect. We made plenty of new friends in the locals all of whom loved to chat and give you a history lesson on their town, some of them having originated from New England were we were from and they all made us welcome. Limited eating places in town but all were fine but do not expect fancy restaurants but good family friendly establishments with reasonable food. The Brown Dog ice cream was a place we visited several times.

We rented a golf cart for easy transportation and joined the locals in using it as our standard means of transportation. The main beach was never crowed during the time we were there and the water was nice and warm. Very easy to access from the house.

The highlight for us was the upper deck which we enjoyed every evening as we relaxed, had a drink and some appetizers. Now one reviewer mentioned that there were houses right in front of you blocking the view to the water which is true however we found that if you just turned your head slightly to the right or left you had clear, unobstructed views of the water. We also did not miss having TV's in every room as we were there to vacation. In fact the house was exactly as described.

If we ever go back to Cape Charles we will definitely stay here again.

Great vacation spot

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our vacation in Cape Charles! House was wonderful. Views from every room were spectacular. Well appointed house that accommodated every desire. Private neighborhood beach was great for learning to do stand up paddle boarding and kayaking. Loved the rooftop deck especially for viewing the fireworks at the marina one night. We rented a golf cart in order to enjoy the whole Cape Charles experience. This high-end home was just what we were looking for. Thank you for a relaxing bay beach town experience.

Great home away from it all in a quiet and private beautiful development!

  • 4 of 5

We loved our stay! It was just the two of us and we were looking forward to a quiet vacation away at the beach and we most certainly received that! We enjoyed the local cuisine, including the ice cream shop, oil/vinegar tasting, and a couple restaurants as well as doing the Chatham Vineyard kayak tour through Southeast Expeditions. Our favorite part of the house was the third floor rooftop deck. A few of the nights we even brought our dinner up from the first floor just to enjoy the sunset and the deck atmosphere! The private beach across from the house was nice to walk on, but the water didnt seem as inviting to swim in. We did venture down to the more public beach in Cap Charles and it wasn't overly crowded and the beach had plenty of room to spend more time on, which was nice. Also, we enjoyed a couple day trips to Assateague and drove on the beach there! It was a bit of a hull but well worth it! Overall, the house was charming, intimate, and perfect for what we were looking for!
