Relaxing stay in Cayman Islands

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this condo in July, 2017 for 3 weeks for a family vacation. My husband, two kids and I were very comfortable in this condo. The condo was clean, and was just like in the pictures. We rented a car for the duration of the trip and went all around the island to visit all that Grand Cayman had to offer. If you have kids, take them to the Turtle Farm, the Dolphin Discovery and the Crystal Caves - they will love it! As for the Kaibo area, the beach is clean, quiet and has plenty of area to spread out just outside the condo. There is a great tour operator right next door - who offers snorkel tours, stingray tours and the really cool bioluminescence tour. The restaurant at the Kaibo Yacht Club was one of our favorites, and we ate there often, when we weren't cooking in the condo kitchen. Our kitchen itself was stocked with all of the necessities you would need. Kathy, the owner, was very responsive to my questions. All in all, it was a great vacation and I would not hesitate to recommend this condo to others

Wonderfully relaxing

  • 5 of 5

This condo is exactly as described and its distance from Georgetown is what makes it so great. We rented a car and drove all around the island and were happy to confirm that we were in the best spot, away from the cruise ship crowds, but close to excellent restaurants (Kaibo Yacht Club is right there) and excursion opportunities (Kaibo and Rum Point). We started our days with breakfast on the screened in porch and a walk with the starfish just steps from the condo. Kathy called upon our arrival to be sure everything was in order and to provide tips, so our trip was off to a great start. We were sad to leave and we look forward to going back.

We had a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation! The condo was clean and well equipped with modern furnishings. Kathy and Cleavy have thought about everything to make our stay complete! They were great to work with. Kathy even called to be sure everything was as we expected. We highly recommend!

Best Family Vacation!!

  • 5 of 5

If you want to get away from the crowds (and cruise ships), the north side of the island is the place to be. A rental car is strongly recommended. The condo is near the Kiabo Yacht Club (local water sport equipment/tour vendor is setup) and a short walk from the popular Rum Point (excellent snorkeling). The condo was clean and had all the necessary amenities and comforts for a vacation getaway (e.g. free Wi-Fi, washer & dryer, full size kitchen appliances, tour and travel guide magazines, etc.). Kathy and Cleavy (owners) were very responsive and accommodating.

If you love snorkeling, this is the place to be. Most of our days were spent in the calm warm waters swimming with sea turtles, stingrays, and colorful reef fish. When we weren’t snorkeling, we enjoyed all the adventures, sites, and food the Grand Cayman had to offer. Our favorite restaurant hands down was the Lighthouse. The food, wine, and staff were amazing! Make sure to say hi to Captain G and his wife Susanna.

Already planning our return visit next year…

Amazing Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from my stay at Paradise Found and had a wonderful time! The condo was very comfortable and well equipped. I greatly enjoyed watching the boats come in and out from the pier as we ate our meals on the lanai. There are only a few restaurants nearby so we cooked many of our meals. The George Foreman grill worked well for simple things such as hot dogs and we used a shared charcoal grill near the pool to grill steak and fish. For eating out, I definitely recommend Over the Edge restaurant (~10 minute drive, the fried lobster Cayman style was excellent) and the Kaibo Yacht Club has good food that is a convenient one minute walk down the beach (the flatbreads are great, especially with a Rare Rum Mojito). In Bodden Town, Chester's Fish Fry has great local food as well. Cayman Kai is quite remote so a car is definitely necessary and I recommend doing your grocery shopping on your way from the airport or a trip into Georgetown or Seven Mile Beach as the larger grocery stores are a good 20+ minutes away. If it is your first time driving on the island and on the left side of the road, I also recommend getting a GPS (Budget has a good "Super Inclusive Package" on their website that includes insurance, additional driver, GPS, cell phone, and tank of gas). Although it is not difficult driving in the Rum Point / Cayman Kai or East End areas, it can be confusing driving through the roundabouts in the Georgetown/Seven Mile/West End areas of the island. You can easily do nothing for days lying on the beach or by the pool at Kaibo and there are plenty of great beaches to walk around the condo. Rum Point nearby is a great place to hang out and watch the sunset. However, there are plenty of amazing natural attractions nearby if you want to be more active. We snorkeled right of the beach at the condo and were surprised to find giant red starfish and lots of fish near the dock. We also snorkeled at nearby Rum Point and saw live conch, a lionfish, and small stingrays. Other activities abound at Kaibo and Rum Point including kayak tours and rentals (the bioluminescent tour is awesome), Stingray Sandbar and snorkel tours (not to be missed!), and watersport rentals (jet skis, paddleboards, hobie cats, etc.). Also nearby (~15 minute drive) is the Queen Elizabeth Botanic Park (highly recommend the daily 11am blue iguana tour -- they are gorgeous) and the Mastic Trail (nice hiking path with lots of birds to see). Great place to relax and be adventurous!

Great family getaway

  • 5 of 5

Perfect for those wanting to explore the beautiful north side of the island - a nice mix of hippy hang outs (rum point) and sailors paradise (kaibo yacht club). The condo is clean and comfy and the beach is shallow and full of starfish. Very relaxing.
