Lovely house in a good location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for four nights in August 2017 as a family of two parents and three teens, and enjoyed it very much. The house is characterful and furnished to a sophisticated standard. Terry had left very helpful guidance and information about the house and the local area. We were made to feel very welcome. The immediate area has good options for eating out and the house is close to the sea at Lovers' Point and to the coast road. Highly recommended.

Such a Sweet Place!

  • 5 of 5

Terry was a wonderful host and the Lavender House was a was such a cute home away from home. I would recommend this VRBO for families or friend groups. Short walk to good places to eat and the beach! Terry was so nice and even let us check in early and gave us very detailed instructions on the property and how to navigate the area.

THE Perfect Place in Pacific Grove

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for historic charm you will find nothing better. The bathrooms were beautiful and all the original details wonderfully showcased. The beds even made my parents think about getting a tempurpedic mattress for home. The location was perfect to go up to Monterey and walk the wharf, we did a whale watching tour and saw 4+ humpbacks and one blue whale as well as maybe a dozen dolphins jumping around like crazy. Multiple groceries close to the house made it easy for us to cook our own dinners to cut down the cost of eating out (we were 4 adults). The loft was great for me, the youngest of the group at 20/21 -- we came for my 21st birthday, and even had tempurpedic up there too! The other two rooms comfortably would fit 2 each and the bathrooms were perfect for all of us as well, claw foot tub/shower in one and large walk-in shower in the other. One of the group was older, my grandmother, and she had no problems with the stairs.

Would rent this house in a heartbeat again should we return to the area a third time. We had no issues while we were there and everything was outlined perfectly on our arrival.

Love love loved The Lavender House!

The property has been beautifully and thoughtfully restored with many vintage details. It's spotless inside and out. The electrical, plumbing and all of the appliances work perfectly. The location is great for walking to restaurants, shopping, coastal trail and the aquarium. The Historic Lavender House is a lovely place to stay! The owners were very helpful and answered all of our questions promptly.

Great House, can't wait to return!

  • 5 of 5

This is a very old house that has been remolded and is immaculate. The attention to detail in the remodel was amazing. As a vacation home, the owner provided all the comforts of our own home, toiletries, linen, washer/dryer, 2 hair dryers. soaps, hand lotions, kitchen spices all good quality. Toilets have raised tanks so you need to pull the chain. Telephone vintage on the wall and rotary dial.
