This beautiful bayfront property is a three story home on over 1 acre of land. From the point you enter the property directly off Prospect Rd. (Peggy's Cove Lighthouse is 10 minutes away) you will drive down a 300 foot winding driveway to the courtyard where parking exists for more than 10 cars. The tree lined property has a cottage feel with the lower flat being the perfect rental for couples or friends. The lower flat is physically separate from the other two levels in the home where the owners live. This self contained "sunset facing" flat comes with its own entrance, private massive deck complete with 4 season outdoor hot tub, propane barbecue, barstool type seats/table and a more traditional seating area. You have access to an outdoor fire pit as well as the use of our low tide sandy beach! Inside the flat you are met with the ideal getaway rental for two. There is a king size bed including a fold out queen available for any guests that may visit. The bathroom, with towels, etc. is beautifully tiled with entrance through a sliding barn door. The flat comes with a WETT Certified wood stove, washer, dryer, fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher. Kitchen is supplied with dishes, utensils, cookware, glassware, etc. Fibre-op digital TV and wireless are included as well as Netflix. On demand movies/TV series' etc. are available for the listed fees. Rowboat and mountain bikes available. Fishing poles available so you can fish off our own pier located left of the beach. Sea Kayaking tours minutes down the road. Granite Springs 18 hole golf course is 2 minutes away while the driving time to Halifax is 15 minutes. Hiking trails are 400 yards down the road from the property. Halifax Airport is 35 minutes away and the local grocery/wine/beer/liquor store is a 5 minute drive away. We are pet friendly (owners have a golden retriever) and smoking is permitted outside.

Fabulous view and location!
The flat is in a great location, close to Halifax and Peggy’s Cove, with a fabulous view. Hot tubing with a cold adult beverage, overlooking Shad Bay...what’s not to love. John was most accommodating and a great host.

Beautiful flat, wonderful hospitality!
My fiancé and I rented John's flat for a winter weekend getaway and it was absolutely perfect! The space is lovely, the view spectacular, and there was everything we needed. John was incredibly welcoming and friendly - a great experience overall. We will definitely return to this fabulous rental.

A wonderful retreat in a spectacular setting!
My husband, I and our two fur-babies spent a week at John and Bev’s hidden gem of a property in the ‘off-off’ season. Beautiful view, sunsets to die for...and if November is like this, the property must be exceptional in the summer. Their hospitality was unparalleled and every amenity needed was a text or phone call away. Our hosts were attentive but not intrusive. John and Bev couldn’t have done more to make sure we were comfortable. We would recommend this beautiful retreat without reservation.
Joan, Ian and their two dogs were perfect guests to stay here for 1 week. Very considerate people, social dogs and left the flat in a condition we would classify as pristine!
