My place is one block of magazine st and walking distance to Coliseum Park, Surrey's Cafe, and PJ's Coffee. Easy access to everywhere in town including Magazine St Shopping, French Quarter, and Uptown Parks/Recreation.. You’ll love the naturally N'awlins feel of the traditional creole cottage. My place has been tastefully updated and features an outdoor entertainment space.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups. This is a traditional shotgun home where each room is accessed by passing through another.

Great location, but very overpriced for what it is.
This house has the potential to be a great place to stay. But it isn't.
We were in New Orleans for 5 days and wanted a house rather than a hotel because we thought it would be more comfortable and would allow us to make some meals instead of having to eat out all the time. This place was not more comfortable, and was not properly equipped for making meals.
This is a 3-bedroom house with one bed in each room and a pull out in the living room. It is advertised for 8 guests. But when we arrived there was one coffee cup in the cupboard (we called the owners about this and they brought over 4 more that afternoon). The drawer had 3 knives, 3 teaspoons, 4 soup spoons and 5 or 6 forks. There were 3 regular size plates and 4 smaller lunch plates. There were 2 cheap burnt pots with handles that heated so you needed an oven glove to lift. This was not a kitchen for cooking anything.
Although advertised as a place for 8, there seemed to be no thought by the owners as to how that many people would actually live in the place. For example, there is one very small bathroom (which we expected), but no place to hang bath towels to dry. In the bathroom there is one broken towel rack which will hold one towel but comes apart when touched. And there is one ring for a hand towel - although there are no hand towels. There were only 5 bath towels and some face cloths provided. One bedroom had a hook on the back of the door. Other than that there was no place to hang a towel. We used the bedposts.
The bathroom has bugs (as older houses can tend to have) and we found some bug spray under the kitchen sink. We didn't see bugs elsewhere.
The three bedrooms have only a bed and a small bedside table for furniture. There is no dresser, or bench or even a luggage rack. So the only place to put luggage is on the floor. If the owners even put a bench or anything so that guests didn't have to live out of luggage lying on the floor it would make a huge difference.
The owners were not available for problems. Even though they offered 3 numbers to call. The smoke alarms started chirping on Saturday morning (dying battery issue), so we notified the owners. I got a text saying they would send someone over but they didn't. Still chirping Sunday evening and no one could sleep so we called again and were told no one could come til Monday. No one could sleep that night at all. VRBOs support line was of no help.
So much more to say but I'm out of characters
I recently stayed here with my family and had a great time. It was easy walking distance to magazine street and the street car and plenty of nice spots to eat and explore. The kitchen is nice and we were able to pick up a crawfish boil from a cajun seafood place and eat at home one night. Also the front porch was great for hanging out while drinking our morning coffee.
The shot gun layout requires that you walk through the bedrooms to make your way around but this wasn't a problem. We parked our rental car out front and had no problems!
