About the Property
A unique combination of colonial antique and modern decor.
Three queen bedrooms with large sleeping loft. Large eat-in kitchen with separate dining room. Three-way fireplace between dining room and living room. Large back deck and enclosed front porch. Satellite TV and DVD players in all rooms, Wi-Fi internet. Washer/dryer. Ample parking space. Within walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Merchant House I is also a short driving distance to golf courses, casinos, wineries, and a one-hour drive to downtown Chicago. French doors open to a huge deck that leads to a custom built, stone seating area and fire pit. Plenty of seating for large groups, family and friends. The deck combined with the stone seating area will accommodate 30 people comfortably. Combined with our other vacation home, Merchant House II, which is on the same side of the street, one lot down could be considered for a combined rental for larger groups such as corporate getaways, weddings, etc.

All Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays will be at the peak rate of $475.00 per night during peak season (May 1 - September 30). The $300.00 nightly rate only applies to (non-holiday) Monday-Thursday. Credit card will be held as the security deposit for all damages and missing items. A refund of one half of the deposit amount will be given if cancellations are made more than 30 days in advance of the reservation date(s). Cancellations made in less than 30 days of the reservation result in non-refundable payments.

About the owner: Grew up in Chicago. Came to New Buffalo to purchase a second home away from the hustle and bustle and fell in love with the area. Relocated in 2000 and have loved the area since.
