Year Purchased: 2012
About the owner: Betty and I retired from education she as a teacher and principal with 27 years experience working with kids of all ages. Betty retired a second time from a museum directors job after 3 years. I retired after 38 years as a school psychologist, special education director, assistant superintendent and then Superintendent. Betty and I have been married for 42 years, have two grown children and two grand children. Both of us grew up in small town Oklahoma and the charm of Pagosa reminds us of those days. You will find everyone friendly and helpful with a very safe and secure atmosphere.
Why the Owner Chose Pagosa Highlands (Pagosa Springs, CO, USA):
We chose this property because it is a true mountain cabin with close proximity to wilderness areas. The climate here has mild summer temperatures and lots of sun year round. The winters have enough powdered snow for all kinds of winter sports and one of the premier ski areas in the country is just minutes away. There is a secluded, quiet laid back ambiance but the house is only minutes to the conveniences of the town.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
The views from all around the house and the ability to walk right into the national forest make this a special place to relax.
