Hi, I've been hosting for the past 4 years and just starting with Homeaway. I have well over 200 favorable reviews on other popular sites where I am still hosting. I enjoy meeting and hosting people of different cultures. I was born in Spain but have lived in the NYC area for many years. I'm fortunate to have traveled much in all parts of the US as well as abroad.

Why Owner chose Weehawken
Quiet residential neighborhood and ideal for visiting and/or commuting to NYC. This is a unique apartment with features that are rare to find, a Victorian type house over 100 years old kept in magnificent shape. High ceilings, huge rooms located across the Hudson River with its awesome views and less than 15 mins away from midtown Manhattan.

Great location and spacious apartment
We had a great stay at Emilio's apartment.
The apartment was quite retro, big living/dining areas and quirky decor but we really liked this about it. It had everything we needed for a week stay self-catering (4 of us), there's a large Acme supermarket only 5 minutes away that had everything and more. We were there in winter (mid-Feb) but the apartment was warm at the right times and hot water plentiful.
We spent most of our time on Manhatten (expensive eating!) so mostly just had breakfast but was able to chill out in the apartment in the evening with its Netflix (and other online channels) and WiFi.
At the bottom of the road, a few minutes away, was the main route for the New York buses through the Lincoln Tunnel that drops you off 5 minutes from the Metro and Times Square for $3/$3.50 - have cash ready. So, even though it's strictly in New Jersey, often within 15 minutes we were in the centre of New York. Just avoid rush hour and you're good.
Finally, the view that you see in the pictures is at the bottom of the street but were magnificent at night, just couldn't stop looking.
We'll be back, enjoy!

Was a great place to stay - very roomy! Amazing view of New York City at night from the park close by. Grocery store a block away for odds and ends. Would recommend to anyone that wants extra room when traveling!
Aussie / US Cuigini visit NY
We stayed for 4 nights at this location with our Australian cousin. The location is perfect for outside NY stay. We stayed on second floor with the 2Br / 1 Bath The apartment was very clean. Emilio was present when we arrived and was super responsive when I had questions. Hamilton Park is literally about 75 yards from front door with the bus transportation on same corner. Grocery store was very close too. Use the Boulevard East bus to exit city. Mexican restaurant within walking distance to apt had excellent food and view NYC skyline from there and Hamilton Park is breathtaking. We would stay there again.
1 Woch New York
