About Derrick Anderson

Our family has owned this wonderful lake home on Richland Chambers since we relocated here from Wyoming in 2010. Career has moved us again and has taken us to the DFW metroplex. At a little more than an hour away we still enjoy this beautiful place on this wonderful Texas Lake as often as we can. Our family is happy to share our home and the natural beauty and pure relaxing enjoyment that is Richland Chambers. We are opening our home for the first time. We are constantly seeking ways to improve our property into a great family vacation rental.

Derrick Anderson purchased this house in 2010

Why Derrick Anderson chose Corsicana

407 Hidden Oaks is located right in the heart of Richland Chambers lake. From land, Hidden Oaks is right off of US 287 just before the 287 bridge, only 15 minutes from I45 at Corsicana. The neighborhood is quiet, beautifully treed with old growth oaks and nestled on the shores of Richland Chambers Lake.

From the water we are right in the center of the lake area with great boating, fishing and water sports right off shore. Richland Chambers is the 3rd largest lake in Texas and from our location the whole lake is within easy reach.

What makes this house unique

The lake is gorgeous, peaceful and very uncrowded. Our neighborhood is quiet and peaceful as well. Our home is on 1.8 acres with more than 300 ft of shoreline and the setting is beautiful. Come to the lake to relax, unwind and leave your cares behind.

Our second year to stay. Works perfect for our family. Don't have a boat, but the kids love swimming at the pier! They have a blast. Beautiful property!

Love It!

  • 5 of 5

This was an excellent family get-away! The house was excellent and very well kept. We were able to dock our boat and wave runner and still have room for my mom to fish day and night. Our teens had fun being able to run down to the dock and take off on the lake at any time. Kitchen, dining room and family room was opened concept which meant everyone was always together. Patio has excellent shade cover for coffee in the mornings and BBQ'ing in the evenings.

We normally travelled to Broken Bow in Oklahoma which is a 3.5 hour drive. (with no lake front) This was perfect driving from Dallas and only an hour drive. Boat ramp was only 5 minutes away allowing for quick in and out for wave runners. We had a 28 foot Sea Ray Sundancer which the dock easly accommodated. They had mooring whip for wave runners and smaller boats. My wife had a great time on the Sundolphin 5 (paddle boat). This was our first time on Richland Chambers and is a beautiful lake.

We had plenty of room for everyone to have their own bed with master bedroom and two full size beds in the downstairs rooms and a full size and two twins upstairs.

Derek and Kenny were extremely nice and always available. Trip went off Perfect! Would highly recommend.

Family Vacation 2017

  • 5 of 5

Great home and even more fantastic outdoor area. Beautiful shade trees by the water kept us from boiling in the sun! The kids and adults loved being able to use the canoe and paddle boat. Also had use of a large inflatable floating island as well as life jackets of all sizes. Our group was 7 adults and 2 kids so we were very comfortable. If you have a group of 12, two people will be on a fold out couch. Derrick is very quick to respond to any questions. So, thank you Derrick for a wonderful family weekend - wish we could have stayed longer!

Nice time at the lake

  • 4 of 5

We had stayed at this home before but things were a little different this round. Having new neighbors has brought a few additional rules for the home owner.

After some good communication all went well and everyone had a good time.

The home and property are beautiful - what a nice get-away. This trip will remain on our short list of "must do's"!

Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at the lake house. The owner was extremely hospitable and the house was furnished with all of the comforts of home. We enjoyed the use of the grill and fishing from the private dock in the back yard. Our stay at the lake house made for a memorable birthday for a grandfather and his family.

Wonderful house, wonderful property, and fantastic view!

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful house, wonderful property, and fantastic view! We had a very nice time at this property and we would recommend it to anyone. There were four bedrooms and three bathrooms on the main floor and that worked out perfectly for our family. Our grandchildren were there with their mom and dad who had brought the portable cribs for them Everything was very nice. We were able to go fishing catch fish and cook a yummy fish dinner in there well equipped kitchen. The biggest hit was the swingset. The babies loved it and they also loved the wagon and the other toys that we found in the garage . Thank you so much.
