About Eric Taylor /Owner
I am a California native who discovered Grand Turk on a dive trip in 2014. I have been a scuba diver for over 40 years and have dove all over the world. In my work life, I am a real estate investor and a builder, which I have done my entire working career. My wife and two teenage sons are all certified divers. We like the casual relaxed lifestyle on Grand Turk and see it as an ideal get away from the pressures of our normal routines.
Eric Taylor /Owner purchased this House in 2014
Why Eric Taylor /Owner chose Cockburn Town
Seasongs is a modest, simple house in a great location. It has all the comforts needed to enjoy a stay on Grand Turk, but not so much as to be burdensome. We like being close to the beach and the water without being right on the beach where the ocean can be a bit too brutal sometimes.
What makes this House unique
Having a separate house as opposed to a condo or an attached townhouse gives a great amount of privacy to a vacation stay. We really like having the fenced, private back yard and our screen porch, too, for the same reason. We set up Seasongs deliberately as a vacation rental home so that all you need to bring are your clothes and personal items and go shopping for food. Everything else is set up so you have what you need. We also had a professional designer place furnishings so they fit the house as a rental, both for us and the guests. Everything is set up for short term stays.

I recommend this Cottage!
Our family of 4 with 2 teenagers stayed for one week. We liked the proximity to the beach and grocery stores. Most of our nonbeach down time was spent in the spacious porch. It gave us the room to sprawl when wanting our own space. The kitchen had everything needed to make family meals. We rented two more bikes in addition to the two provided. Grand Turk Scuba dropped off the bikes and then picked them up at the end of our stay. This made it easy to access most of the island. Reliable Wi-fi. Air conditioning kept us comfortable for sleeping at night. Our favorite meals out were at The Arches. It’s up by the lighthouse. They post their menu daily on Facebook and it’s a good idea to order ahead of time. They were very willing to accommodate our vegan and vegetarian, plus it was all freshly made and delicious! One day we arranged to have Omar bring us a golf cart for the day. He was great to deal with. I highly recommend Seasongs Cottage for your stay on Grand Turk.
Very nice place for a vacation. Would love to stay at this place again. Highly recommend it to anyone.
Seasongs Cottage was perfect for us.
This was our first time flying to Grand Turk for a visit and we weren't sure what to expect. The cottage was just as described. Anita, the local property manager, met us at the house to welcome us and provide an overview of how everything worked and gave us some helpful information and directions to nearby restaurants and grocery stores.
We rented a golf cart for our stay and traveled the whole island on it, from the lighthouse, to Bohio Dive Resort, to the Cruise Center!
There is still a lot of visible devastation from last year's hurricane, but there are also obvious rebuilding efforts ongoing.
The cottage did not have TV access while we were there but that was not a negative for us. The WiFi was working which allowed us to stay in touch with family back in the States and share tons of photos.
All of the local people we met were very courteous and helpful. More than one actually thanked us for visiting, saying it was the tourism dollars that would help them rebuild quicker.
We had some of the wild donkeys come by at least once each day during our stay and saw several of the wild horses elsewhere on the island.
We enjoyed swimming and snorkeling and watching the sun set and hope we can return next year for a longer stay!
If you're looking for a relaxing vacation with views of some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, you'll enjoy Seasongs on Grand Turk.
A very relaxing stay
My husband and I have stayed for 6 nights at Seasongs and truly enjoyed it. I loved the combination of a cute, traditional cottage from outside and the stylish and modern interior. We spent lots of time at the screened-in porch in the backyard, which gives you a sense of perfect privacy. Thanks to the shade the trees provide and the trade winds, it was always a nice and cool place for relaxing.
Anita, the caretaker was very nice. Even though the airport pickup with taxi didn't work out as planned due to our flight arriving an hour earlier from Salt Cay, she was quick to arrive at the cottage and show us around. Also she arranged our taxi on the way back.
The cottage is well-appointed and perfect for a couple or a small family. The amenities include a small, but fully equipped kitchen, which provides everything you need if you wish to cook your own meals. The bedroom is very stylish with a large and comfortable bed. The living room area is also very nice. There is A/C, but we felt very comfortable with using just the fans and keeping the windows and doors open most of the time.
One has to note that there was no internet and satellite TV as advertised. This is understandable as these services are not yet up and running after the two hurricanes last year, however the cottage description does give you the impression that you will have internet and TV. This was a bit of a disappointment, however it didn't have a real negative influence on our holiday. We enjoyed it very much and took use of the very recent DVDs and high quality boardgames provided.
Also it was very nice to have two bikes to discover the island. We enjoyed visiting the lighthouse in the north and Governor's beach in the south. This was our favourite beach in Grand Turk. Pillory beach is only a few steps away from the cottage and also very nice, however it can get a bit crowded on days when cruise ships are in town. I liked the cottage's quiet location outside of Cockburn Town. Also it is just a short bike ride or a nice walk away - I especially enjoyed our evening walks to town and the beautiful beach views on the way.
Grand Turk is a beautiful island with stunning beaches, wonderful people and a rich history waiting to be discovered. Even though the traces of the storms are still visible, I really enjoyed my visit and hope to return soon. For my next stay I would certainly book Seasongs again.
Thank you Judita. We really appreciate getting reviews like your's, not only for the good ratings but for the clear descriptions. We think Seasongs is a real gem and we try to keep the rates reasonable. I have changed the description regarding the lack of internet and TV. You are right. This is out over the whole island for now due to the two hurricanes.
There was no internet, wifi, or tv ,they should have said that instead of lying about and us finding out when we got there and it was too late to do anything and after we returned to Florida our card was charged and they claimed we trashed the house ,we left the house exactly how we got it, I cleaned it myself, will never stay here again beware!
I’m going to take this review as an opportunity to give a little coaching to future guests. This guest is not welcome to stay with us again. Over the past four years this is the first time we have not returned a deposit and it’s also our first “revenge review”.
Grand Turk is not Provo. Please take the time to read the descriptions of the property and do not expect us to bail you out when you call from the runway in Miami saying you will arrive at 4:00 PM on Provo without a clue you needed another flight to Grand Turk. I did bail this guest out because there were no flights left and only one hotel room left in Provo at his price range. He expected me to provide that hotel room for free!!
Please call our property manager when you are actually leaving Provo. This guest had a flight delay and he didn’t tell our property manager who had a taxi waiting for three hours for him.
When you arrive in Grand Turk please tell the property manager if you plan to go to dinner for two hours before arriving at the house. She will be waiting.
We Provide foot wash buckets at the doors so you can wash the sand off your feet before entering the house. Please use them. We are at the beach. A little sand is understandable but we do not need a new beach in the living room.
Please do not take the bed linens and blankets down to the beach. There are plenty of towels for that. Sand gets in these and stains are hard to wash out of white sheets and blankets.
Electricity is expensive on remote tropical islands. When you leave please turn things off. Only one of our two air conditioners is more than sufficient to cool the house except in August and September. Keeping these costs down let’s us keep reasonable rates for everyone.
When you check out please inform the property manager and give her the keys. Leaving the keys somewhere outside in the foliage is just not smart.
Lastly, do not call our property manager names. This is a small island. Most people know most people and word gets around.
Had another wonderful, comfy stay at Seasongs!! Turning into my home away from home!
Grand Turk has world class scuba diving in a National Park located across the street from the property.
