You can see Boon Island and read about the history of ship wrecks up and down the coast. York Village has several historical locations. York was incorporated in 1652. Kittery also has several historical sights such as Fort Foster, and the Portsmouth Navy Yard is in the harbor between Portsmouth and Kittery. Lots of great dining in the area.
Kittery Outlet Mall is only about 7 miles away. Lots of famous Southern Maine Beaches, boat tours, and Portsmouth NH old city right near by. Lots of history too.
