About Susan Enlow

Our family loves the mountains and purchased this cabin to get away from the hustle and bustle of Southern CA... and to escape the heat of the Inland Empire. We love to hike, ski, fish, bike and snow shoe. Our grandchildren love to come up to play whether there is snow or not. The zoo, museum, and the Discovery Center are all favorite places to visit. When we arrive we feel instantly at peace and hope you get that same feeling when you visit.

Susan Enlow purchased this cabin in 2009

The place is very clean and everything is very organized.

If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you and your family. You do not need to bring anything with you because the kitchen is fully stocked. All you need to bring is the food. They provide enough towels and extra sheets and blankets. Nick who oversees the property is always ready to answer questions. Our experience here was very enjoyable. We would definitely come back and use this cabin again.

Just a right place for my family!!!

  • 5 of 5

Finding the location was easy and the cabin was very clean and organized. Everything was working great in this cabin. This cabin has everything what you would need to stay in. This is our very first time renting a cabin as a family and our dog. We really enjoyed and relaxed staying in this cabin. It took about 20 minutes drive from this cabin to Bear Mountain for skiing, so as heading to downtown. We also took our dog for a walk around the neighborhood which was peaceful and a very little traffic. Also, a check in and out of the cabin was very easy and the owner and the rental manager was always available. We would love coming back to this cabin next time.

clean, comfortable property; quiet and convenient location; better than the pictures.

  • 5 of 5

It was our first visit to Big Bear in summer, and first time staying outside of the Big Bear Lake area. We stayed for 3 nights. We were a little concerned about the distance to "main attractions", but it turned out not to be a problem at all (the drive from Von's store seems to be just 10 min, from Snow Summit parking 15-20 min depending on traffic; although I didn't time it.) The house was very clean, had everything we needed for our stay, everything was well-maintained and worked fine (including showers, dishwasher, stove, oven, fridge and freezer, washer/dryer, hut tub, fireplace, 3 TV-entertainment centers with DVD/DVR, ceiling fans - we got to use all of these) . We used 3 bedrooms upstairs to accommodate 3 adults and 3 children; the beds were comfortable. We are all very happy with our stay and appreciate the owner's and the manager's responsiveness to our requests. I am glad I chose this property; it is actually better in real life than in the pictures. It is great for adults and for kids. I would definitely stay again and recommend to my friends.

Car: necessary

Our cabin is located a stones throw from the National Forest, with a wonderful sledding hill, hiking, biking, and snowshoeing all right from the front door. A short drive takes you to the cutest museum complete with a real blacksmith and gold panning for the kids. (Open summers only). Of course, skiing, boating and shopping are available a short 13 minute drive away.
