About Susan Enlow
Our family loves the mountains and purchased this cabin to get away from the hustle and bustle of Southern CA... and to escape the heat of the Inland Empire. We love to hike, ski, fish, bike and snow shoe. Our grandchildren love to come up to play whether there is snow or not. The zoo, museum, and the Discovery Center are all favorite places to visit. When we arrive we feel instantly at peace and hope you get that same feeling when you visit.
Susan Enlow purchased this Cabin in 2009

Loved it, backyard has so much potential, a nice patio set would make a lot of difference.
The weekend went good. Unfortunately there was construction across the street from Monday at 730am till Tuesday at about 4pm. The saws and banging made it very hard to relax. We were escaping this very thing.
All the remote batteries were dead and WiFi was spotty (mountain thing😉). Really liked the set up, and comfy esthetics. King bed is kinda hard. And all knives were dull, had to go buy that, another trip to the store as with the remote batteries. Over all though I would come back, if there is no construction. Thank you for the ease of this entire thing.
I am so glad you enjoyed your stay in Big Bear. I don't have total control over some of the ailments you mentioned, but I have tried to address them. The neighborhood is normally so very quiet, but the home across the street is putting a garage in, and is expected to be completed soon. If the neighbors are not following proper hours for noise we ask that you contact my local manager and he will follow the proper channels to remedy it. As for the WiFi, it can sometimes be intermittent in the mountains. But I did make a call to my provider and they led me through a very long diagnostic process which should improve service, so thank you for bringing that to my attention! The king bed mattress is new and usually goes over very well with my guests. The knives are nice but not chef quality, so I bought new ones that include a sharpener for future guests. The remote batteries are always checked before check in and were recently changed. I encourage my guests to contact my local manager or myself and we would be very happy to take care of any issues that arise immediately so guests don't have to. I am glad you loved my cabin, I look forward to having you stay again!
Immaculate and cozy
Took my family of 4 to this cozy cabin for a 2 night stay. It is immaculately clean. More than enough space for all of us with room to spare. Well stocked with all the essential cookware and dishes in the kitchen. Susan provided some basic toiletries that included towels, soap, shampoo & conditioner (which I appreciated because I forgot to bring mine) and a hairdryer. We didn’t use the spa or washier/drier but all the heaters worked, shower was great, kitchen appliances were in good working order. Very quiet, peaceful location 15 minutes from town and close to many hiking trails off highway 38. Perfect place for a weekend or week-long trip. Only thing I would add is check the cleaning fee, it’s a large cabin with a big yard and spa so the cleaning fee is higher than I anticipated but, like I mentioned before it’s very clean. Susan and Nick were responsive and professional when I had questions. Would definitely recommend staying here!
Great family house
We got in late so Nick the manager just told us how to get in and went ahead of us to turn the heat and hot tub on. The place was a perfect fit for my family. The kids loved playing in the back yard and the nearby sledding hill was a blast! We are already planning our return trip next year.
Super Cute Place - Nice quiet area!
We stayed here for my birthday in January and it was awesome! The place was super cozy big enough for everybody. They even had boardgames for us. Susan was even nice enough to let us do late check out :) i would definitely be going back!
The place is very clean and everything is very organized.
If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you and your family. You do not need to bring anything with you because the kitchen is fully stocked. All you need to bring is the food. They provide enough towels and extra sheets and blankets. Nick who oversees the property is always ready to answer questions. Our experience here was very enjoyable. We would definitely come back and use this cabin again.
Just a right place for my family!!!
Finding the location was easy and the cabin was very clean and organized. Everything was working great in this cabin. This cabin has everything what you would need to stay in. This is our very first time renting a cabin as a family and our dog. We really enjoyed and relaxed staying in this cabin. It took about 20 minutes drive from this cabin to Bear Mountain for skiing, so as heading to downtown. We also took our dog for a walk around the neighborhood which was peaceful and a very little traffic. Also, a check in and out of the cabin was very easy and the owner and the rental manager was always available. We would love coming back to this cabin next time.
Our cabin is located a stones throw from the National Forest, with a wonderful sledding hill, hiking, biking, and snowshoeing all right from the front door. A short drive takes you to the cutest museum complete with a real blacksmith and gold panning for the kids. (Open summers only). Of course, skiing, boating and shopping are available a short 13 minute drive away.
