Downtown Carbondale is ~25 minute drive and is known for its country rodeo’s, arts and crafts, restaurants and is also the set off point for trips to remote country towns of Redstone and Marble (a famous remote marble quarry). Glenwood Springs is ~45 minute drive and is home to the world’s largest natural hot springs, spa, caves, the famous Hotel Colorado, a theme park, an adventure park, a dude ranch with horses and AWDs, the beautiful Glenwood Canyon and Hanging Falls, and large chain stores for when you need them.
