The cabin was too cute
We really enjoyed our time at this property. Private lake access, plus walking distance to restaurants and store was perfect. The cabin has everything you might need. Would recommend this property to anyone who appreciates original, authentic Old Tahoe. Owner very pleasant and next door if you need anything.
Quaint cottage- perfect location!
Perfect location for our summer get away. We had three teenagers with us and they were in heaven. We were at the lake paddle boarding every day.
Well-priced, well-equipped, adorable cabin in an excellent location
6 adults, 1 child, and our golden retriever, had a wonderful stay over this past Memorial Day long weekend.
In-laws arrived first and found keys exactly where they were supposed to be / had no trouble getting in.
The Olde Tahoe decor is well done with lots of wood, pine cones, wild critters, snowshoes, Native Americana, and old family photos.
Bed / Bath
Having two full bathrooms (one up, one down) was perfect for our group of seven people. On the main floor, the bunk bed room is very small, but worked fine for three people; the second room was a good size and perfect for in-laws who didn't want to climb stairs. On the second floor, hubby and I took the large loft bedroom. Though this room is technically open to the staircase below (no walls), privacy was not an issue due to the configuration.
Since it was cold and drizzly our first two days, we were happy to build a fire and have the seven of us snuggle around the living room to watch the Warriors and then a movie. Dining room table seats 4, so we used wooden TV tray tables in the living room for those who did not want to dine at the table.
Kitchen / Laundry
Kitchen has everything I have at home in my own well-equipped kitchen. We loved the old Wedgewood oven / stove. We ran a couple of loads of laundry; everything works well.
WiFi / Other
WiFi signal was excellent. We did not use the hot tub, but it was clean and in good condition. TV got a good signal and DVD player worked well. We brought our own movies, but there are a few for guests to use.
Beach / Location
The private homeowners beach is a quick walk down the end of the street. Very nice not to have to cross Hwy 89 to get there. Though the lake water was 44°, a few of our gang jumped in. The beach park has picnic tables and BBQs by reservation, a swing set and climbing toys for kids, and is fenced and secured. Apparently dogs are allowed before 10am, though we did not take ours. Sunnyside restaurant and Fire Sign Cafe are a few minutes walk away (we went to both) and the local deli / market is perfect to go grab a latte or gelato. They have a full selection of wine and beer, make sandwiches, and have pretty much anything you forgot to bring. Hiking trails and bike path are just out the front door. Though close to Hwy 89, the cabin is quiet and peaceful.
This is a wonderful rental and the price is right! It's nice to arrive, park your car, and walk everywhere.

perfect hide away for a family gathering
this intimate home was everything and more. 3 bedrooms, comfy living room, full kitchen and everything one needs. short walk to beach. the owners repond quicly and are great area resoures. we will come again for sure!
Lots of comfort and character
This classic cottage is reminiscent of visiting "Grandma and Grandpa" at the lake. The home is full of vintage touches and is well stocked with all you will need to be comfortable. We traveled with friends visiting from out of the US. They generally find the typical American homes and condos to be "beige" and lacking in character. Therefore, they truly enjoyed staying in this unique cottage during their first visit to Lake Tahoe. We really appreciated the welcome bottle of wine and hot cocoa mix, the hot tub and the short walk to the private beach. And, the owners are wonderful hosts, nearby if you have any needs or questions.

We require a $500 reservation/damage deposit and signed contract to secure reservation. This does not apply towards the cost of rental and is fully refundable within 7 days of departure as long as no damage or loss incurred to the property. Ask owner for Holiday rates. The full amount of rental cost & $135 cleaning fee is due in one payment 14 days prior to stay. PLEASE NOTE !!
