Two queen beds, and one full bed/twin over, down comforters on all beds, two full bathrooms, stove, microwave, washer, dryer, hot tub, direct TV, Wi Fi, private back yard, , smoke free,quiet neighborhood, beautifuly decorated in old Tahoe décor , old stone fireplace with supplied wood, secluded lush back and front yards. Fenced in back yard for dogs !

Both recently retired from teaching in San Jose, CA Just moved into our dream house in Lake Tahoe. We have many fond memories spent with family and friends in our cabin. A truely special and unique place !

Our cabin is located on the out skirts of Tahoe City in a quiet neighborhood. We are steps away from Lake Tahoe, Sunnyside Resort bar menu or fine dining, great breakfast at Fire Sign, many outdoor activities at your footsteps anytime of the year. Easy access to HWY 89. Lots of comfort and character

This classic cottage is reminiscent of visiting "Grandma and Grandpa" at the lake. The home is full of vintage touches and is well stocked with all you will need to be comfortable. We traveled with friends visiting from out of the US. They generally find the typical American homes and condos to be "beige" and lacking in character. Therefore, they truly enjoyed staying in this unique cottage during their first visit to Lake Tahoe. We really appreciated the welcome bottle of wine and hot cocoa mix, the hot tub and the short walk to the private beach. And, the owners are wonderful hosts, nearby if you have any needs or questions.

Perfect Location

This cozy home was the perfect destination for my family of 5. We enjoyed skiing both Diamond Peak and Squaw Valley; toured Truckee and and zip-lined in the treetops. All of these activities were near to home-base. At the end of the day, we took full advantage of the hottub and the barbeque. Thank you for a very happy holiday season.

Perfect Tahoe home

This is a really comfortable little cottage. It has a lot of authentic details and real character. It is just a couple blocks from the lake and a nice little playground and fenced area for our two year old and dog. The bike path is a few steps away. The cottage had everything we needed, a really well-stocked kitchen and was plenty big enough for two couples and our daughter. Would definitely stay here again.

Quaint, old Tahoe style cottage - perfect location!

We enjoyed a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this rental. The décor is very quaint and has the feel of what Tahoe must have been like back in the day. No worries though, all modern amenities are in place - washer,dryer, dishwasher, updated bathrooms. We all commented on how comfortable the beds were! The layout of three bedrooms and two full baths was perfect for our family of five adults. We particularly loved the quiet, wooded back yard and spent a lot of our time eating, reading and chatting on the deck. The fenced yard worked out wonderfully for our daughter's dog who was with us.

The location could not be more perfect. We walked pretty much everywhere - the beach, access to water sports, the bike path, Sunnyside restaurant (waterfront dining), the West Shore Market, the Fire Sign Café (delicious breakfast menu!) The access that the HOA gives to Tahoe Park is a major bonus. We went pretty much every day and rented a table and grill one night and enjoyed a bbq. The owner lives next door and was quickly responsive to our questions, yet gave us plenty of privacy.

If you are looking for a low key rental with easy access to all that Tahoe City offers, this is your place!

Charming Tahoe cottage

My family, all adults, was very pleased with this truly charming cabin. This place has everything one needs for a relaxing vacation. We spent quite a bit of time in the hot tub which was plenty hot enough! The tasteful decor was what I guess is called retro ala 1950, including a Wedgwood stove. Good mattresses. plenty of blankets, a fireplace and comfy furniture were very welcome. I would choose this place again.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
