This is a bright home with beach decor and amenities to enjoy beach-oriented living. A wraparound back porch allows you to enjoy the forest setting and lagoon. The two bedrooms and one bathroom accommodate up to four people.
The house is located in the Night Heron community, which is just inside the Sea Pines Ocean gate. It is located just a 5 minute walk from a very uncrowded part of the Sea Pines beach. White sand beach extends almost 12 miles along the eastern/southern side of Hilton Head Island.
The Night Heron homes are free-standing, nestled in saw palmettos, palms, live oaks festooned with Spanish moss, tall long-needle pines, and surrounded by lagoons. Night Heron includes a community pool and is also located near one of the entrances to the Sea Pines Forest Preserve.
Sea Pines has 15 miles of wonderful walking and biking trails, as well as access to famous Harbortown, South Beach, and plantation-wide golf amenities. The home is close to many restaurants and attractions both in Sea Pines and nearby Coligny Plaza. This property rents at a reasonable rate.
There are 12 miles of beach on the 'sole' of Hilton Head Island that you can access by a five-minute walk from the front-door. Look for dolphins playing in the waves off-shore (they move up and down the ocean by the island during the day) as well as pelicans, shore birds, and gulls. You can swim and boogie board/skim board. Much of the beach is packed white sand so you can bike on the beach. The access walkway is Number 46, so you can find your way back.
We live in South Carolina and have come to Hilton Head for many years for an annual vacation.
Jim Brown, BeachBum Rentals purchased this villa in 2012
We love bicycling in Sea Pines because the trails are wonderful and quiet and safe for families. When biking in Sea Pines, we were always were fascinated by the 'round houses' in Night Heron. The houses were secluded, yet close to the beach and the Ocean Gate entrance to Sea Pines. This house has a beautiful lagoon view and we fell in love with it.
Night Heron is a very quiet place to relax and unwind. It is very quiet, private, and secluded. Night Heron is also pet friendly. Nothing like a long walk in the Forest Preserve or on the beach with your furry friend....It is close to very uncrowded beaches, a large forest preserve, and gives you access to miles of walking and biking trails in a gated plantation.
If you want to get out and get together with friends and family, you are very close to the Coligny Beach area with lots of restaurants and bars. And for activities, you are surrounded by golf courses and close to the ocean.
We had a great time. Property was well apportioned and conveniently located. The view was very nice also.
We loved our stay at one of the Sea Pines Night Heron cottages - the location, the lagoon, the deck, the decor. This was our first trip to Hilton Head and we did not realize what it meant to be a guest in the Sea Pines Resort area. We are so glad that we were able to enjoy all Sea Pines has to offer. It was great to cook & use the grill & the kitchen area with all the dishes & utensils provided instead of eating in expensive restaurants every day. And having a dishwasher, clothes washer & dryer too. We walked our path to the beach everyday and explored the trails in the Forest Preserve - sighting all sorts of birds, herons, egrets, alligators & much more. We golfed the Sea Pines Ocean course and climbed to the top of Harbour Town Lighthouse. It was so refreshing to take a getaway from our long cold Northwest Pennsylvania winter. Everything was even better than described and pictured on your website.
Very relaxing, short walk to the beach. Neighborhood was very quiet, pool was nice after being on the beach all day. Jim and Margo at Beachbum could not have been any better, within one hour brought us a coffee pot after the one we had stopped working they also left an extra propane tank for the grill. House was clean and had everything we needed. In the back we had some wildlife that was amazing we were able to observe while grilling out. Perfect place for adults and teenagers, actually children of all ages. Our little dog enjoyed the long walks and mornings on the beach. A great place to visit was the wildlife preserve, short walk from the house or you can drive over, early morning is best for the walking trail. Fresh water fishing was only $5 or salt water for another $11. Rented bikes with Jim's help, delivered and picked up at the house, bike rides were great and relaxing, children loved the rides on the beach . We will be back!!! Thanks BEACHBUM for helping to make this a great vacation.
Really enjoyed staying here. Waking up in a house without the condo noise and feel was great. There were ten egrets and a heron in the lagoon watching me and our pup have coffee on the deck in the morning. Sea Pines is out of the traffic of Hilton Head so walking all of the trails was a joy.
Loved the house. It's right sized and comfy. Felt like I was at home. Clean and open. Lots of light when you want it and privacy when you don't. The blinds were great.
The quick walk to the beach just topped off the week. Some days we walked the beach for miles and others just sat and did nothing. What a week. I'll be back and would love to stay here again. Thanks
This is the place for you to spend some relaxing time near the beach in private accommodations. Hilton Head Island has a long history of habitation and has become a wonderful destination for beach-oriented vacations.
Sea Pines, located on the toe of Hilton Head Island, is the site of world-class golf, housing, restaurants, numerous leisure activities, all in a forested and tranquil setting surrounded by the ocean. Sea Pines has uncrowded beaches and the house is in a private, quiet part of Sea Pines, just inside the Sea Pines' Ocean Gate.
This is a free-standing home in a very quiet community surrounded by nature. The community pool is close, as well as an uncrowded beach and ocean just a short walk away. There are 15 miles of biking and walking paths in Sea Pines and over 100 miles on Hilton Head Island, not counting biking on the beaches . You can walk or bike on the beach for miles too. The beach you access is part of a 12-mile stretch of white sand beach on the 'sole' of Hilton Head Island.
Activity and amenities are convenient. Restaurants, shopping, groceries, and sports (golf, tennis, kayaking, fishing, sailing, etc.) activities are available within Sea Pines or just outside it at Coligny Plaza, near the popular public beach located there.
Other Activities: boogie boarding, skim boarding, kayaking, horseback riding are available in Sea Pines. Zip lining is also available on the island.
Golf: Golf on Hilton Head Island is legendary. An island only ten miles long, Hilton Head Island contains twenty-nine golf courses, with more off-island. The Heritage Golf tournament has been held in Sea Pines for many years. Located in Sea Pines, the Harbortown Golf Links are rated #1 in South Carolina and among the top 100 in the United States. It is only one of three courses located in Sea Pines. The house is located in Sea Pines and is only a short drive from the Sea Pines golf resort center and the Sea Pines Beach center.
From Sea Pines' nearby Harbortown, you can experience dolphin cruises, sunset sails, ocean/marsh kayaking, and sport fishing. Many of these can also be found at South Beach, which is near the tip of the toe of Hilton Head Island.
Restaurants and shops throughout Sea Pines will make sure that you don't go hungry or thirsty or lack beach supplies, mementos, or souvenirs of your stay. All of these features are woven among the golf courses in Sea Pines. Should you choose to leave Sea Pines, there are many more restaurants, shops, activities, and, yes, more golf courses to choose from on Hilton Head Island.
