Robison Horse Ranch is a 35 acre facility that has a large arena, round corral and a 1/2 mile workout track. There are miles of desert trail to ride your horses on or train for endurance. We also offer lessons on our resident horses. This is a working ranch and you can be involved as much or as little as you prefer. About Leslie Graham

I was raised on this ranch and have been busy on it for the last 48 years! The horses and I have hosted all kinds of organizations and people from all over the world. Renting to other equine lovers would broaden my scope in sharing the ranch with others.

Leslie Graham purchased this farmhouse in 1964

Why Leslie Graham chose Inyokern

Thirteen horses reside on the ranch presently. I love this ranch for it's remoteness, peace, stars and phenomenal sunsets. It is old, rustic and a great place for much needed R&R and enjoying the equine residents.

What makes this farmhouse unique

The stars are amazing at night and the clean air is refreshing. The Pacific Crest Trail is right behind the ranch.

Excellent property to stay at. Had everything we needed and was very close to everything in Durango!

We are going back to Durango and will stay here again. It was very accomodating, easy to find, and was less expensive than anything the same size. Thanks Rick

Quaint and comfortable with stunning views

  • 4 of 5

Robison Ranch was perfect when our family of 5 needed when we needed a place to stay while waiting for our new home in Ridgecrest to close. The ranch house is older, but it has everything you need. It was definitely kid-friendly. We stayed with our 4 year old, 2 year old, and 7 month old, and they took to calling the home "the horsey house." There is a larger room off the kitchen to play in, and there is a children's bedroom with bunk beds and books.

We really took advantage of the ranch. Our kids ran around barefoot for hours each day. The horses are gentle, and the ranch staff is friendly and willing to chat. Our 4 year old daughter took four riding lessons. Leslie, the ranch owner, is one of the kindest people we've ever met. She'll take good care of you!

It's not a five-star joint, but if you need a relaxing, beautiful place to stay to breath in the slowness and scenery that can only come from time in the country, Robison Ranch is the place to do it.

Amazing Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Going here was such a perfect little getaway for us, our dog, and our three boys. The cabin was a real authentic cabin experience, and was also clean and nicely decorated. There is a great wood burning stove and once we had that up and running together with the space heaters the cabin warmed up. It was so amazing to be on a ranch and have the horses right there. We loved that this wasn't only lodging - it also provided us with activities even if we just hung around the ranch itself. The kids enjoyed helping out with feeding and different chores and loved getting lessons to ride on their own. The scenery is amazing as well. The owner is so flexible and made it work for us even though we planned so last minute. We really hope we can come back.

Amazing Family Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This was truly an amazing family vacation for us! The kids started out skeptical and disappointed due to some horse activities being planned for them. However, by the end of the first day grooming, saddling and riding the horses, the kids were saying it "this is the best vacation ever". Leslie was very kind and helpful suggesting day trips we could take while we were here. We didn't end up leaving the ranch, except on horseback, because the kids has so much to explore around the ranch. Rustic is a good word to describe the house and there were a few kinks to work out but Leslie was all ears and eggar to fix them. If you're looking for a plush hotel or fancy desert lodging, this is not it. However, if you are looking for a great value family vacation that will force personal interaction and communication while giving appreciation for the simple things in life, I highly recommend this trip! This vacation was a great bonding experience for our family and we would do it again in a heartbeat.
