We both are in love with the Fancy Gap slow pace and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. This is an incredible place to visit or live, with the Blue Ridge Parkway within sight. Lots of rivers and creeks for fishing, wineries, the wonderful weather and mountain breezes
JoDee Burton or Hughes Burton purchased this cabin in 2012
We love fishing, golf, riding our motorcycles on the BRPW. This area just slows your heart rate down! The trout fishing is great, with stocked creeks and rivers nearby. The weather is incredible with a constant breeze and your not fighting the insects while doing outdoor activities.
The Blue Ridge Parkway is within sight of the cabins and the peacefulness has no comparison. We do have motorcycle parking, and within a mile of our cabins is a new Restaurant and Bar, 'Raps', with the biker in mind, special parking, motorcycle rides and events.
Clean, cozy and beautiful cabin! We spent the weekend in and out of the hot tub, enjoying homemade meals, exploring downtown Mount Airy, bird watching, and the amazing backdrop of 8+ inches of snow!! Jodee was a generous host and allowed us to stay until the roads were safe to pass.
This cabin has everything you’d need or want in a weekend getaway. Stocked kitchen, beautiful lake for fishing, cozy hot tub, comfortable bed and linens, and CLEAN!
Just a heads up for future guests, the WiFi is very slow and takes a while for anything to load. It works but come prepared with DVDs or games if you plan to spend a lot of time inside.
Also, it is not as secluded as the pictures seem. There is a house next door and another cabin (same owner) on the other side. The road is close with an occasional car that passes by.
This was he perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Such a beautiful view and very very clean!!
Our family experienced a nice relaxing CHRISTmas at Time to Unwine. It was nice to have so many amenities and extras provided for us like the hot tub, fishing gear, plus the little extras like the W/D, kitchen accessories, etc.
Thanks for a nice break!
Such an adorable Lil cabin right off the Blue Ridge Parkway. The surroundings are peaceful and appealing! Can't wait to go back!
this place was awesome like usual. We loved the addition of the hot tub. We will be coming back many more times
Everything was nice ... location, facilities & comfort
This is a convenient short drive from the triad area of N.C. and the views/outdoor activities are phenomenal. Hiking, biking, relaxing, and enjoying the 'quiet.' Numerous wineries, cherry, apple orchards, peach orchards, and quaint shops; your blood pressure lowers as your driving up the mountain to reach your destination. Mt. Airy, best known as 'Mayberry', is a 15 minute drive down Orchard Gap rd which takes you right into downtown. Visit the museum, have a Snappys Porkchop sandwich and please visit Floyds Barbershop!
The hiking is phenomenal near the cabin with views, caves, water falls and cliffs. There is horseback riding on New River Trail at Foster Falls. Take a picnic lunch, ride the trail on horseback or your bike, and then go down the falls in a kayak or canoe. The fishing is great for walleye, musky and small mouth bass, along with the trout stocked streams and creeks in the area as well.
