Perfect Homebase for a Yellowstone Adventure
The location was just outside the west gate. The Pine Cone Cabin was clean and decorated with the theme. It was well stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans, toaster and a must have coffee pot. The bed was comfortable and they had plenty of towels etc. It was the perfect size for 2 people, actually bigger then I thought. Only downside was the shower was small but other then that it was a great homebase.
Great place to stay
Just the right size for two to come back to after a day in the park
We had a great time in West Yellowstone. The Pine Cone House was conveniently located and cozy. Owners were great. We are going to miss the nightly ice cream.
Very impressed, very comfortable
The cabin was very comfy, clean, and well stocked with supplies to clean and cook. It felt like our own house while we were there. Geoff and Billie were great hosts. We would recommend them to anyone.
Beautifully equipped cosy cabin, ideal base for exploring Yellowstone
We had a great 3 night stay in September at this spotlessly clean and well-equipped cabin. Perfect for a couple. Other reviewers have criticised the bathroom/toilet arrangement, but although the set-up is a little unusual this wasn't a problem for us. Basically, the bathroom is open-plan to the bedroom- there is indeed a door but this serves purely to close off the toilet from view- it was never designed to shut with someone sitting on it! Ok, if it was my place I would probably fit a sliding door to close off the whole bathroom area from the sleeping space, but for a couple like us it's no big deal. Simply close the bedroom/lounge door while your other half is using the loo/toilet etc!! You have to remember, it's a small cabin so space is at a premium. Anyway, this was a perfect base for us, walking distance to central West Yellowstone with all its restaurants and shops, but wonderfully quiet at night. Geoff is very knowledgeable and informative about the park, having once been a ranger himself, so can give you lots of advice. We didn't have time to sample the coffee/ice cream at Billie's quiosk sadly. We would definately recommend this cabin to other couples.
Tiny cabin with all the conveniences
Had a great stay at the cabin. Incredibly clean and perfectly comfortable for 2 people. Kitchen well stocked with good equipment and cookware. Bed was comfortable with good linens. Other reviewers have mentioned the issue with toilet placement. It is a challenge (especially if you are not petite) but not enough to discourage us from staying again. Geoff was welcoming, helpful and responsive. Who could resist Billie's offer of free ice cream after a day in the Park? Location provides easy access to Yellowstone. Would stay again if we return to the area.
The Pine Cone Cabin is located in the heart of West Yellowstone Montana. We are just blocks from the west gate of Yellowstone National Park.
