Big kitchen, great porch for morning coffee, outdoor table and chairs, music in living room, kitchen, upstairs room and the bathroom, fantastic master bedroom with very confortable bed and magic light in the morning. Outdoor shower. Just 20 minutes walk from the footbridge beach or 2 minutes by car. Very pleasant walk under arched trees. We just loved it and hope to be back for a third year.
Home away from Home
The home was beautiful and well maintained. It had everything you could ever need on a restful beach vacation. The outdoor area was fun using the grill, fire place and sitting area on cooler nights. We ended up cooking dinner at the house more nights than going out to eat. We truly enjoyed this home away from home and can't wait to book our next stay!
Small paradise but not that small
My mom and I really enjoyed this lovely house hidden in the woods. It is a lovely refuge for the hot sunny days in the beach. There is everything you need and more. It is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We also enjoyed the garden and having morning coffee on the porch facing lots of greenery. The owner is attentive. We had a perfect vacation!
a retreat nestled in the pines, indeed
A beautiful, comfortable, country, nautical themed home away from home. We rented bikes and walked A LOT - we loved it, but not for the faint of heart. An easy drive to anywhere though (parking is always a "thing" in town however.) The house is 1/2 mile from Rt. 1 so you must factor that into any walking you plan to do, e.g. to the beach or into town. That being said, we ate until our hearts were content and walked it all off - hah.
Also, very nice to stay in a home with a "real" kitchen and a washer/ dryer in the basement.
My husband and I have spent many wonderful times at this special cottage. It is close enough to the beach and downtown for easy access (10 minutes), but enough away to be quiet. The cottage is cozy and well equipped and has many nice features including an outdoor shower. I love relaxing in the large jacuzzi tub, reading and sunning on the outdoor stone patio and having my coffee on the private deck off the master bedroom. We always feel rejuvenated after a visit here.
There is a great place at end of street (the Lobster Pound) where you can order delicious sweet Maine lobsters already cooked and pick them up on the way home from the beach! It is a wonderful way to end the day!
Relaxing getaway with great access to amenities of Ogunquit
I love this property, it has everything you need for a relaxing get away, beautiful outdoor patio for cooking and eating, relaxing in the sun, reading or catching up with friends. It is a short walk or bike ride to the beach and surrounding restaurants.
It is also a short ride to Kennebunk Port, where we like to explore on our bikes. There is a great lobster place at the end of the road if you don't want to cook. There are some good restaurants within walking distance, Beach Fire Grill & Hooks both on Route 1. A short drive brings you to the many great restaurants of Ogunuit.
