3 bedroom, 2 bath, + Casita completely remodeled
Our family has been vacationing in Palm Springs for four generations. There is something special about Palm Springs that continues to enchant us. Hugging the mountain on Highway 111 as we cruise into town melts our stress away and our first glimpse of the iconic mid-century modern architecture transports us to another time. We got married in Palm Springs at the Viceroy in 2008. Since then, we have dreamed of opening a boutique hotel in Palm Springs. In early 2012, we stumbled upon this original mid-century modern Alexander butterfly roof home with its original footprint still in tact. We decided to fulfill our dream of owning a boutique hotel by carefully renovating and designing this house to provide guests with a hotel-like experience in a private home. We spent the next year carefully restoring it to its original splendor (with modern upgrades). We are excited to offer this special property to our guests, and we hope our guests will treasure this house as much as we do.
Zach purchased this House in 2012
Why Zach chose Twin Palms
This house provides the quintessential Palm Springs experience: mid-century modern architecture; private pool and yard with citrus trees; mountain views; walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, bars and more; stylish new furnishings and decor; in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Palm Springs.
What makes this House unique
This property is truly unique because of its rare butterfly roofline, its modern, yet period-appropriate upgrades, its historical significance, its large backyard, and its orientation towards the mountain, resulting in mountain views from all bedrooms and the backyard.

We really enjoyed our family getaway, and found this property to be just what we needed! Plenty of bedrooms for our group of 6, great pool and outdoor living space, and a great neighborhood. We would love to stay here again.
Thank you for the excellent review. We just repainted the house and strive to get good reviews like this.
Great House, Poor Owner Communication
The house was great and comfortable for our 7 guests. Great location and neighborhood. Our only negatives were that we requested to heat the pool and it wasn't heated until our second day, but our first day pool heat money was refunded to compensate. The outdoor firepit did not work the entire time we were there, which was unfortunate. We asked for it to be fixed and were told that a handy man would come, but nothing was ever done. Plan to bring extra toilet paper - only 2 rolls were provided for each bathroom. The owner wasn't very pleasant to communicate with and questioned any request in a bit of a degrading tone. The owners came into the house on our last day before check out time to look around which felt a bit strange.
Thank you for the feedback. We strive to make everyone’s experience the best possible. Please check out our numerous other reviews on this site. As for the outdoor fireplace, we had never had an issue with the outdoor fireplace before and we were sorry this guest had an issue. We quickly sent a handyman and it turned out that the guest had been using the key to turn on the gas from the indoor fireplace instead of the outdoor one. They have different key sizes. We should have labeled the fireplace keys clearer. As for the pool heat, there was a terrible cold spell so the pool did take longer to heat than usual. We are turning the heat on even earlier now during cold spells. Finally, the guest stayed beyond their check out time and we had to have our cleaners begin cleaning to make sure the property was in perfect shape for the next guests who arrived just 4 hour later. We do an extensive clean each time to make sure everything is in good shape. Thanks again for staying with us and hopefully have bettered the property as a result.
Beautiful house and pool. Our family really enjoyed our stay!
Roomy home with very nice pool. Outdoor area was beautiful as well. Our family had a great time on our mid-winter vacation.
Lovely Palm Springs stay
The property is in a nice location. I love the area and it’s walking distance to Koffi and The ACE hotel. It’s a lovely house with a beautiful private back yard. It’s really comfortable and fun. I stayed there for a bachelorette party and it was great. I would definitely stay again. There was a beeping noise that was quite annoying but I’m sure that can be handled. Great stay for a family or party.
Impressive design and perfect location
Eight 30 year old professionals sharing this house for a fun, relaxing weekend in Palm Springs.
Pretty great price for a perfect quintessential Palm Springs architectural house. All of my friends were very impressed from the decor, the colors, the comfort of the beds and blankets, the bathroom designs.
My favorite room was the casita, so spacious and beautifully decorated. The only problem was that it had a wall unit air conditioner that was not as strong as the AC in the house. The master bedroom was a second favorite, even more spacious with natural lighting, and a beautiful view of the mountains.
I really appreciate that the owner did not cheap out on the details, every bedding, blanket, pillow felt super lush and comfortable. Although there was so much natural lighting, I do wish there were a few more lamps in the bedrooms because it became very dark.
Location was perfect as well. Close to coffee shops, Target, Ralphs, restaurants and casual dining...if I forgot something it was just a quick hop into the car to get what I needed.
I would definitely visit again. Thank you so much!
great house for our girls trip weekend
House was perfect for our girls vacation. Space was nice lots of room for the group. The room located outside seemed far away from the rest of the group, so if your looking for 4 rooms close to each other you may want to look for different house. Pool was such a nice size for all of us to enjoy. Would book again if we come back to Palm Springs.
This property is located in the highly sought after neighborhood, Twin Palms, in South Palm Springs. Twin Palms is home to the former Frank Sinatra estate and dozens of other mid-century modern homes designed by famed architects Palmer & Krisel for the Alexander Construction Company in the late 1950s (these homes are referred to as the 'Alexanders'). The neighborhood of Twin Palms is quiet and peaceful. However, restaurants, bars and coffee shops, including the Ace Hotel (which has a day spa and various evening entertainment), Kings Highway, Koffi and Elmers, are walking distance. The Smoke Tree Village Shopping Center, which has a grocery store and additional restaurants, is less than one mile away.
