About Craig Bohn

I am a patent attorney and business startup consultant, with clients primarily in Texas, Montana, and Silicon Valley. Until 2009 I was the Chief IP counsel for a semiconductor manufacturer in Kalispell, that was purchased by Applied Materials. I presently live in San Jose, with my wife, Debra, who is the chief managed care contracts negotiator for Stanford Medical’s physician groups.

A covered deck spans the entire back of the house, providing a peaceful vantage point to view the river, island, and eastern Swan Mountains.

The island across the river provides hours of hiking opportunities, with chances to see eagles, osprey, beaver, ducks, geese and cranes. Deer frequently cross the bridge in the morning and evening, and wander across the property.

What makes this house unique

Private office off the common area, with highspeed wired internet, permits one to address any business requirements. Wifi throughout house. The 2-car garage is essential during the winter. Washer and dryer on-site.

Notes:
Owner lived in this house for four years, and has close connections to the community. Please mention any special requests or questions, and we will get them addressed. A friend who is periodically in the area is a retired Air Force pilot with his own plane. When it gets close to your stay, check with me to see if he will be in the valley at the time. He has taken many of our guest up for the cost of fuel, and he may give you an aerial view of the valley and Glacier Park.

Beautiful, exquisite property in Kalispell

  • 5 of 5

We were totally impressed with this property; it far exceeded our expectations. The outside patio was a quiet beautiful refuge after a day of golfing and hiking. We saw eagles soaring most every evening.

The property is conveniently located in Kalispell and is close to amazing restaurants; we would recommend the Scottibelli's Italian.

Thanks for the week with friends.

Wonderful home

  • 5 of 5

We just finished our family vacation on Flathead Valley and LOVE this home. I have family in Kalispell, so believe when I say the location is excellent. You are equidistant from Whitefish, Glacier, or Lakeside. The home is gorgeous! This is a home which was built for a family to live in, not built to rental-spec. The details like the granite and appliances are top rate - better than what most of us have at home. What can I say - we hope to return sometime to this very location. I highly, highly recommend this home if you want a quiet, but convenient, location in the Flathead Valley.

Great House in Kalispell!

  • 5 of 5

This was a great house to stay in Kalispell. It was about 45 minutes to an hour to Glacier National Park. The deck was nice but our party of 6 needed to bring some chairs from inside the house to the outside every night. It was nice having 3 bathrooms (one for each couple) but my husband and I had to sleep upstairs and use the bathroom downstairs. I would suggest moving one of the queen beds upstairs into the downstairs bedroom where the futon was. That would have made it perfect!! It was an evening ritual to watch the young townspeople jump off the bridge into the river and then watch the deer cross over from the island. If I'm ever in the area again, I would definitely stay here again!

Great location and lots of room for our family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

Overall, we had a wonderful time at the property.

The owner and caretaker were extremely good about communicating with us. The caretaker showed us around the property and was able to help us with a few small things/questions we had during our stay.

The rooms were a good size and one of the benefits of this house is the size of the beds. Three of the four rooms with Queens is a very nice feature. In addition the house was stocked with way more toiletries than any VRBO I have every stayed at. That was nice.

The location is perfect! It is central to go to Flathead, Glacier, Big Fork, and Whitefish. There were at least two three grocery stores within 10 minutes. There is a running/biking path nearby that I was easily able to get up to 4 miles on from the house. And the river being behind the house provided us easy fishing opportunities every morning and evening right on the bridge.

I do have a couple of minor nits that could make this place even better... The grill was difficult. The burners were having issues, and though we managed that might be something to upgrade, and include a grill brush to clean :) Having some "beach" towels would have been great. We didn't want to take the house towels to the river or on Flathead and ended up buying a bunch. Also, the "dock" probably needs some work to get it back to the steps. We were able to get to it through the mud, but others may not even attempt. And last, the patio was really the main place the entire family hung out. I wish there were more patio chairs. But again, these are very minor things and we still very much enjoyed ourselves.

We had a wonderful time at the house. We cooked big meals every night for those of us staying at the house, and other family in the area who visited us there. Every morning we enjoyed coffee and at night drinks on the patio. The was the best. Having three bathrooms was awesome and everything worked great. Being able to hop in the river and float around as well as fish was a huge bonus.

Thanks again Craig for a wonderful experience.

Very comfortable home.

  • 5 of 5

I was one of four ladies who took a golf trip to Montana and used this house as our "home base." It more than met our needs. It was comfortable and well appointed, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Were we to plan another trip to this area, we would definitely be happy to stay here again.
