- Owner lived in this house for four years, and has close connections to the community. Please mention any special requests or questions, and we will get them addressed. A friend who is periodically in the area is a retired Air Force pilot with his own plane. When it gets close to your stay, check with me to see if he will be in the valley at the time. 35.3 miles to Glacier National Park. 26.8 miles to Blacktail Mountain Ski Area, Lakeside, MT. 2-car garage with door openers. Laundry in garage entryway. Backup generator in case of power outage. Grounds maintained and the basement apartment (with separate entrance and garage) occupied by a Montana State Trooper and his wife.

About the owner: I am a patent attorney and business startup consultant, with clients primarily in Texas, Montana, and Silicon Valley. Until 2009 I was the Chief IP counsel for a semiconductor manufacturer in Kalispell, that was purchased by Applied Materials. I presently live in San Jose, with my wife, Debra, who is the chief managed care contracts negotiator for Stanford Medical’s physician groups.

The island across the river provides hours of hiking opportunities, with chances to see eagles, osprey, beaver, ducks, geese and cranes. Deer frequently cross the bridge in the morning and evening, and wander across the property.
