'It's not just a transaction...for us it's our passion!'

AspenHaus Cabin is situated in a parklike setting with shared access to the Big Thompson River. From our cozy mountain home it is just a short walk into the Rocky Mountain National Park, 1/2 mile to the YMCA of the Rockies, 2 miles to the Beaver Meadows entrance of RMNP and 3.5 miles to the town center. Or simply leave your car at our home and take the FREE Estes Park Summer shuttle from a stop located within 1/4 mile of AspenHaus Cabin!!

And the AspenHaus Cabin is right down the road from AspenHaus Lodge... purchased in January 2013 we have freshly updated it to provide you with the same ultimate Rocky Mountain experience! Since buying the cabin we have updated the kitchen, painted the entire interior, re-finished the pine floors, had new carpet installed throughout, purchased new furniture for the great room as well as other mountain cabin furnishings, installed gas logs, a new Weber natural gas grill for the deck, updated lighting and stained/painted the exterior deck and trim. Ready-set-go!

The main level vaulted great room is an ideal gathering space with a floor-to-ceiling Colorado moss rock fireplace in a warm and inviting living room setting, an adjoining fully equipped kitchen and dining room area. Picture windows all artwork needed on these walls!

Step out on the deck to enjoy the sounds of the Big Thompson River, just a stone's throw-away; and sneak a peek of Flattop Mountain and Hallett through aspen groves and pine trees... you can take it all in while having your morning coffee, an evening glass of wine or cooking dinner on the grill. And while you are there be sure to say 'hey' to our frequent visitors including elk and wild turkeys!

The main floor bedroom has a king sized bed with an adjoining full bath. Also on the main floor is an off-kitchen laundry and access to the one car attached garage.

The second level of AspenHaus Cabin has two vaulted ceiling bedrooms (a king bed in one and 2 twins in the other); connected by a loft hallway and jack-and-jill bathroom with a separate (double) sink area.

As our guest you will enjoy access to shared common fishing, picnic and playground areas along the Big Thompson river... all within sight of AspenHaus Cabin.

Take a short woodsy walk along the Big Thompson River and emerge to expansive views of Moraine Park. Visit the museum, catch the shuttle to other RMNP destinations or continue your hike on to Cub Lake where you will have extraordinary opportunities to view herds of elk along the way.

Need we go on... our family thinks that AspenHaus Cabin is perfect in every way... not just another vacation rental but our perfect mountain cabin!

Why Mark and Sue Werder chose Estes Park

We have spent many of our summer vacations visiting national parks and the RMNP is our hands-down favorite! After 2 years of searching for a home in Estes Park we knew that AspenHaus Lodge was the perfect one for us... and AspenHaus Cabin is an even cozier version, just down the road!

What makes this cabin unique

Walk directly into the RMNP or access the shuttle bus by foot to avoid traffic and delays!

Perfect Winter Wonderland Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

What a great place to enjoy 15" of snow over a couple days of our stay! Seriously! It was beautiful. And Sue & Mark not only sent us all kinds of helpful information before we arrived, but they had all that snow plowed and shoveled and made sure everything was just right during our wintry stay. The cabin was perfect for my husband and myself and our daughter and her husband. Despite the snow and cold, we were able to do some hiking and adventuring (well, our kids did the hard stuff- they live out here...) and spent time in Estes Park. It's a perfect location for EVERYTHING! Close to the park, Estes Park, and several nearby good restaurants. The cabin is clean, well-equipped, lovely but simply decorated. Just couldn't ask for anything better! Highly recommend it to all! We have rented several other places near here in the past, but this was perfect in every way and reasonably priced. We'd love to come again and enjoy another season of this beautiful place!

Fun family time!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful and relaxing time at AspenHaus! My husband and I and our 2 children had plenty of space upstairs and my parents had the master bedroom on the main floor. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you might possibly need. We enjoyed exploring by the river and playing at the playground right out the front door. AspenHaus is in a wonderful location to easily get to the park entrance, downtown Estes, a great little grocery store and some delicious restaurants. Sue and Mark have thought of everything and were very helpful before and during our vacation. We have rented vacation homes in the past and this is by far the cleanest place we have ever stayed! We hope to stay again!!

Always a joy!

  • 5 of 5

I cannot even begin to describe how well this rental is run. This cabin is as perfect as it gets! Close to RMNP for hiking and wildlife viewing. It was very relaxing to settle in after a wonderful day of sightseeing. The kitchen is well appointed and there is plenty of room to stretch out by the fire. I was perfectly content to sit by the large picture window just trying to catch a glimpse of the plentiful wildlife that frequents the area. Your hosts, Sue and Mark, are very special people, who, obviously, love making sure that any guest of their's is well taken care of. I highly recommend AspenHaus cabin! We absolutely hated leaving this little gem!

The perfect vacation spot!

  • 5 of 5

I must have looked at a thousand homes when researching our stay in Estes Park. We narrowed it down to a handful and ended up going with Aspen Haus, which ended up being a GREAT decision. Sue, the owner, was absolutely fabulous to work with, sharing helpful tips with us prior to our arrival, like favorite restaurants, favorite hikes, and other things of that nature. The home is nestled in a small and quaint community with a few other cabins, tucked away in a forest right by the Big Thompson River. We saw more wildlife sitting on the deck at our cabin than we did in the park! Each morning we had elk and mule deer grazing right in our yard! One day we were even lucky enough to see a lynx (or bobcat) walking through the front yard. We also saw a great horned owl one evening as we went for a walk through the community. It was so cool seeing all the wildlife! The location of the cabin is perfect, only a few minutes from the main part of Estes Park, and just minutes from the entrance of RMNP. There were some great restaurants nearby and grocery shopping not too far away, in case you want to cook in the very well stocked kitchen. This was a great vacation, and a great cabin - perfect for me and my husband and his parents. Thanks to the Werders for sharing their beautiful home with us.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to review AspenHaus Cabin, we appreciate that so much!! How lucky are we that you chose our home in the first place!! We agree with you that the wildlife is amazing...we see elk, deer, coyote and wild turkeys all of the time....we see bobcat and black bear of our guests even spotted a bull moose right below our very own driveway!!!! The amazing part is that we are within a short walk of a local favorite restauarant and just a couple of miles from Town. We hope that you find your way back to AspenHaus again someday, thanks again and best!! Mark and Sue, Owners
