About Nancy Williams

Allured by the beauty and quaintness of Pagosa Springs, we moved here in August 2011 to semi-retire and slowdown from our more urban pace in Minnesota. We purchased our home in the spring of 2012 and began remodeling it. Once completed, we decided to open our home to be used for others to enjoy and explore this wondrous land.

Nancy Williams purchased this house in 2012

Why Nancy Williams chose Mallard Point

We chose this property for two main reasons. First, the views of the Continental Divide are spectacular and we are only a half of block from the lake. Plus, the location is convenient to shopping, restaurants, bike/walk path, recreation center, and golf course. It is on a paved street and has a paved driveway - something of great value here. Our home faces the east and lets the morning sunshine in. All the bedrooms face the west allowing the dazzling western sunsets to be seen. Since there are no street lights in the residential areas, we love watching the nightly display of the brillant stars and galazy. There is an abundance of wildlife that comes through our neighborhood and yard. Fox, deer, elk, bear, and bald eagles.

pagosa springs trip

  • 5 of 5

excellent property. really home from home. few suggestions; please have some bath soap available so if one wants to have a shower after a long drive ( 11 hours for us ) it is available. would it be possible to put a garbage container in the kitchen ? we would like to reserve for next year as soon as the hunting season dates are made available by the Colorado DOW.

I lost a favorite camo jacket , did i leave it behind? next time i would like to bring you something for the house. so let me know what you think would be most useful.

Our stay in Pagosa Springs rental

  • 5 of 5

We were very comfortable and the location is good for what we wanted to do. We used it as our base as we took a couple short trips to see different things and were gone a few days and nights. The house was well equipped as far as daily essentials. When we closed the house up at night it seemed to get quite warm. We never had to run the furnace. The house must be very well insulated. The weather was great, even got in on a little snow, and we had a good time. Thank you for letting us stay.

Perfect for us!

  • 4 of 5

The house was perfect for my wife and I, it might be a little cozy for a full house of 7. Never met Nancy but we needed coffee and she brought it by the next day. The BBQ grill needs a little repair but it worked fine ~ the igniter was inoperative but there was a fire stick in one of the kitchen drawers. The house is a few minutes away from a shopping area with a grocery store, many restaurants and other shops. The City of Pagosa Springs is about 6 miles away but really no need to go there unless to visit the hot springs. You have a baby view of Village Lake and a neighborhood view of the mountain range. The beds were comfortable but the upstairs bedrooms may get a little hot during the summer months because there is no air conditioning in the house.

Would definitely stay here again!

The property was really nice and worked well for our purposes.

  • 4 of 5

This was a great property for us and for our stay. The only regret is not staying an additional day to take in the cute city of Pagosa, nor did we have time for the hot springs. Such a cute town with a beautiful landscape.

Nice home

  • 5 of 5

The house accommodated 7 of us very easily. The kitchen was well equipped for our cooking needs. Location is good - great grocery store 1 mile down the road. Fairly close to Piedra Falls and other hikes.

Home away from home

  • 4 of 5

Nancy was a wonderful host! The code had been changed on the door and she made sure to contact us by voice mail and text to make sure we could get in for our late arrival. We had our grandchildren and they were most excited to find a nice array of toys and games. The home was quite warm, but windows were opened and fans turned on, so really not an issue. Bedding, linens and blow dryers were all a nice amenity. The home is centrally located to the grocery store and several restaurants. A definite recommendation!
